I know the scheduled start time will be late for a lot of people, but hopefully the campaign concept will make it worth staying up. The sessions are planned to be weekly but only go for 2-3 hours. An ongoing commitment to the game is preferable but not necessary. All the player characters will be members of the Zhentarim, a mercenary company with a dark reputation. After a brief published adventure, The Halfling Horde, to knock the rust off my DM skills, and clean the packing grease off of the 5E rules (I was a 3.5 diehard), play will open up to a sandbox style game focused on the PC's gaining a foothold in Waterdeep. I'd like to use video, with an eye towards streaming/Youtube at some point in the future. The PCs will start at 8th level. Most character's should be neutrally aligned, although evil or even good alignments are OK if the character in question has motivations that would provide group cohesion. I have a house rule regarding magic items that we can discuss in further detail here or during character creation. New players are welcome. But since we are starting at 8th level, some experience with any edition of D&D would be helpful. I'd love to do character creation tonight if there are enough people.
