Mic and webcam not working

Hey there I'm having a problem with Roll20 not recognising my webcam and microphone. When my group and I were playing today my webcam would load but wouldn't turn on and I couldn't make the mic function at all. I tried changing the video and mic settings on Chrome but even though my headset was available and selected it wouldn't work. It happened as soon as I entered our game but the other players weren't having any problems with their webcams or mics. I'm using Google Chrome version 42.0.2311.90, Windows 7, Javascript is enabled, I use Avast and I had Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Reddit Enhancement Suite and the Great Suspender enable. Can you retry it with your antivirus disabled, some of them are getting agressive in their protection.

Is this a Chrome only issue, does it work fine on Firefox? If you're having the issue on both it could be as Pat said and be an Anti Virus issue. Or, it could be your settings on your OS don't have your mic and camera set as the default devices.

I'll check it as soon as I can get a friend to help me test them. I tried in Firefox earlier and it didn't work there either, I made sure that the OS has the my mic and camera as defaults but I'll try turning off the antivirus

Ok so turning off the antivirus worked for Firefox, not for Chrome but that's alright. Thanks for the help, can't believe I didn't think about the antivirus!
