Lamark Thousander. It was a huge, chromed thing, a revolver with two barrels, one of a regular size and the second of greater bore beneath it. It was an old, Guard-issue weapon, a Lammark Combination Thousander, a weapon for an officer, or for use in trench-war and street fighting… The Lammark's centre chamber was a large-capacity slot for a buckshot cartridge or a breaching round. He had loaded the latter. The under-barrel fired with a deeper, more painfully leaden bang than the narrower upper muzzle. The breaching round shredded the entire area around the door handle, mangling the latch and the electrically fired deadbolts. -Pariah, Dan Abnett The Lammark Forges are known for both the quality of their work and a certain tendency towards design eccentricities. They produce a number of unusual weapons which could perhaps be described as mini-combi-weapons, fusing elements from different archprints into an inelegant but functional and useful whole. Classic examples include the Lammark Combination Tenner (a lasgun with underslung pump action shotgun), the Lammark Combination Hundreder (a full scale grenade launcher with underslung heavy laspistol) and the Lammark Combination Thousander, a massive revolver whose cylinder is built around the barrel of a single-shot smooth bore shotgun, the whole weapon being scaled to retain the dimensions of a service pistol. This unique configuration enables the weapon to hold two types of ammunition; six shots of regular pistol ammunition and a single shotgun round. Although ostensibly an unwieldy combination,this does enable the operator to enjoy a great deal of tactical flexibility given the wide range of peculiar and exotic shotgun shells available in the Imperium. The user must opt to use one of them; he cannot use both in the same round, nor can he reload both at the same time.The second profile represents a "standard" shotgun round. If the player opts to use an alternative shotgun round, vary the profile of the weapon according to the rules for the shotgun shell type; note however that the range of the shotgun shell won't exceed 15 metres whatever shotgun round is used, due to the weapon's short barrel.
