This post has a table that tracks the passage of time for events that were actually played through the campaign. Date Event 4708 Arodus, 25 Riots spread throughout Korvosa after King Eodred died. The PCs helped save people during these riots. They also rescued orphans from a crimelord known as Gaedren. They met the ghost of a Varisian fortuneteller named Zellara, who guided them in events to come. Arodus, 26 PCs had first interview with Field Marshal Cressida Kroft and were employed by the city guard. They arrested Verik and his henchmen. Arodus, 27 Brief downtime Arodus, 28 The PCs were in the presence of Queen Ileosa for the first time. She addressed the military organizations and asked help in investigating the riots and the missing Seneschal. Arodus, 29 Downtime. The PCs sought a home for the orphans rescued from Gaedren. They also investigated owning a building in Korvosa. Finally, they investigated other things. Arodus, 30 Downtime. Arodus, 31 The PCs visited Eel's End to obtain some information and evidence of the possible links among Verik, Devargo, and the Arkonas. Rova, 1 The PCs went after Trinia, the person suspected of killing the King. Rova, 2 Downtime. The PCs bought a townhouse to use as a base of operations. They also interacted a lot with Vencarlo. Finally, they pursued things regarding their backgrounds. Rova, 22 Cressida contacts the PCs to assign an important mission: finding the missing Shoanti diplomat Thousand Bones. They rescued him from the Dead Warrens and he left for Korvosa. The trial of Trinia Mabor ends and she was going to be executed, but legendary vigilante Blackjack appeared and rescued her. Rova, 22 Downtime that lasted for five weeks. They interacted with recurring NPCs, improved their headquarters, completed city watch contracts, and battled a rogue devil in the Pantheon of the Many. Lamashan, 28 They helped Brienna Soladi and cured her from a strange disease: Blood Veil. This marks the begin of a devastating plague. Neth, 2 Brief downtime. Also, the PCs met Ishani and other people attending the Blood Veil plague: Doctor Davaulus, the plague doctors, and the Gray Maidens. Neth, 3 Brief downtime. Neth, 5 The Lucky Bastards (the PCs) uncovered a scam from Vendra Loaggri who was selling fake cures for Blood Veil. They also captured the notorious Hookshanks. Neth, 6 The PCs went to quell a rebellion that some wererats were planning. They learned that the sunken ship Direption could be where the plague started. Neth, 7 The PCs investigated the sunken ship Direption and found in it some chests with diseased rats and coins, and some papers incriminating Davaulus as the owner of such disease-carrying ship. Neth, 8 Downtime: The PCs witnessed the decaying city and all the turmoil and cruelty that has followed the plague. They also attended some personal matters. Neth, 15 The PCs went to investigate a series of disappearances in Carowyn Manor, finding instead a massacre, unearthing things far more incriminating and bigger than what they expected. Neth, 16 Downtime. The PCs had a short downtime on this day. Neth, 17 The Lucky Bastards went to storm the Hospice of the Blessed Maiden: the headquarters of Davaulus and the plague doctors. They killed Davaulus but were then killed by Rolth and Andaisin. The goddess Pharasma resurrected them. Neth, 18 Big downtime that lasted for three weeks. The PCs developed a cure for Blood Veil, investigated more things, had some portents from a few deities, and contemplated the quarantining of Old Korvosa and two public addresses of the Queen. On one of them, the Queen herself surprisingly captured Marcus after a never-seen display of power. Kuthona 10 The PCs went to rescue some Sable Company marines, and when they returned, they saw the Citadel and their headquarters under attack by Gray Maidens, devils, and Red Mantis. They had to flee and hide in Old Korvosa. Kuthona 11 The Lucky Bastards went to Vencarlo's House after Grau gave them a letter from Vencarlo inviting them. They were ambushed by Red Mantis in Vencarlo's home, but didnt find the master swordman. They also discovered that Vencarlo is Blackjack. Then they spent the rest of the day investigating where the seneschal is. Kuthona 13 The PCs followed the leads towards Pilt's Palace, where Vencarlo and/or Salvator could be. They attempted to infiltrate the place but then Bakar was able to identify them as the Lucky Bastards and thus Pilts decided to strike a bargain with them. Kuthona 14 As part of the bargain struck with Pilts, the Lucky Bastards hunted down a devil-transformed Devargo. After that, they got an audience with Salvator. Kuthona 15 Following an audience with Salvator, the PCs have an audience with Glorio Arkona in which he explains how Melyia Arkona betrayed him and now has Vencarlo and Neolandus captive in a dungeon. Thus the PCs head to that dungeon, the Vivified Labyrinth, and battle their way through traps and rakshasas before defeating Melyia and rescuing Vencarlo and Neolandus. They return to the surface to talk with Glorio but find Old Korvosa under attack again by devils. So the Lucky Bastards flee the city and go towards the village of Harse, with Vencarlo, Neolandus, and 120 refugees. Kuthona 18 The PCs arrive to the village of Harse, where they have the Harse Assembly with several ambassadors from the surrounding towns, as well as Vencarlo, Neolandus, a priestess of Asmodeus, and a Shoanti scout. They plan the rebellion to take back Korvosa, which involves seeking a way to enlist the Hellknights for thwarting the devils in Korvosa and to seek the aid of the Shoanti in the Cinderlands. Kuthona 20 They arrive to the village of Abken in the afternoon, after departing from Harse the day before. They pass this village and head to Sirathu. Kuthona 21 The Lucky Bastards reach the village of Sirathu in the afternoon to investigate the whereabouts of Maidrayne and try to enlist the Hellknights. They learn that Maidrayne is trapped in the Dimension of Dreams, so they venture forth to rescue her. In this dimension, they visit a dreamscape that was a representation of the Bloodsworn Vale attack that the Lucky Bastards experienced in the past. They also saw another dream that represented the murder of Lord Volshyenek Orlenos and the plotting of the Acadamae to get the Crown of Fangs. Finally, they rescued Maidrayne and she promised to enlist the Hellknights. Kuthona 23 After Sirathu, the PCs head to Kaer Maga on their way to the Cinderlands. Here, they buy all sorts of magic items and get more information on the Lavapit Mines Expedition, the Second Shoanti Invasion, and the Crown of Fangs. Finally, they are ambushed by the Cinderlander, who was trying to collect a bounty put on the PCs. Kuthona 24 The PCs departed to the the Skull Clan camp in the Cinderlands. On the way, they rescued a Shoanti herder named Terva. Once in the camp, they met Thousand Bones and participated in a test of strength against the Sun Clan champion Krojun. Kuhtona 25 The PCs attended a council fire meeting of the Skull Clan. There, they learned a lot about the relationship among Kazavon, the Crown of Fangs, Queen Ileosa, and the devil invasion. They also learned how to destroy the Crown of Fangs. That same night, the Red Mantis were able to find the PCs and an ambush ensued. The PCs defeated them and interrogated their leader Cinnabar. Finally, they departed to the Sun Clan camp the day after. Kuthona 29 The Lucky Bastards arrive to the Sun Clan camp and accept the Trial of Totems in order to be admitted amongst the shoanti. The Trial lasts for three mornings and they pass it. Kuthona 31 They pass the Trial of Totems and then joined the Sun Clan camp in their war council meeting. They discuss the final alliances for the liberation of Korvosa. They also discuss the raids on Urglin, a city of orcs beyond the shoanti camps, which they must conquer before the shoanti can join the war on Korvosa. A big downtime begins. 4709 Abadius 7 After one week of preparations in this downtime, the Sun Clan shoanti and the Lucky Bastards raid the city of Urglin. While they do not conquer the city, they are able to kill many orc warriors and several orc leaders, thus crippling the orcs' military potential. Abadius 11 The PCs return to the Skull Clan crypts near the Kallow Mounds, where the Skull Clan shoanti were hiding with Neolandus after the Red Mantis ambushed. Neolandus rejoins them. Abadius 16 The PCs return to Harse to do the final preparations for the Liberation of Korvosa. On the way, they meet Fenris who decided to join them. For the next weeks, they hear news of unfortunate events happening in Korvosa, like martial law, slavery, assassinations, and the fall of some satellite towns. But they also learn of rebel forces operating below Korvosa. Finally, they finish all preparations for the Resistance Army, reunite with the Shoanti warbands and the Hellknights, and plan the liberation of Korvosa and an end to the devil threat. Pharast 25 Spring time comes, the snow goes away, and the Resistance Army marches towards Korvosa. Pharast 26 The battle for Korvosa begins. The Resistance Army manages to blaze through the eastern and southern districts, defeating devils, breaching walls, and helping civilians. Pharast 28 Several major victories happen for the Resistance Army: they capture the Gray District and reunite with the rebels that Cressida assembled and that have been surviving under Korvosa for three and half months. They also manage to get the ancient blessing of Eyes-of-Fire in order to destroy the crown. Pharast 30 More victories for the Resistance Army. They capture Sabina Merrin (right-hand of Ileosa), capture Palace Arkona and defeat Andaisin and Rolth, seize the Longacre Building and the Bank of Abadar, and many other districts are liberated. Pharast 31 With most of Korvosa won by the Resistance Army, the PCs storm the Castle, encountering bizarre experiments and events there, including a transformed Marcus who the PCs had to kill out of mercy. They battled Queen Ileosa as well as Togomor (who proved to be a devil) and ended up destroying the Crown, ending its evil influence on Ileosa. They also thwarted the forced resurrection of the dragon Kazavon (part of its spirit inhabited the crown). The PCs then spared the Queen in exchange for information on how to end the Curse. They allowed her to escape to a distant land and vanish, never to return to Korvosa. With the crown's power gone, Lorthact's barrier around Korvosa disappeared and forces from the Hells (including the Erinyes Queen Eiseth) appeared in Korvosa to track down Lorthact. These devil forces then chased Lorthact out of Korvosa and throughout other planes. Gozran 3 The Resistance Army spent a few days researching how to end the Curse using information given by the Queen and books recovered from the Acadamae. In the end, there were two viable ways to finish it: either execute all infected citizens or use the remnants of the Crown and someone's life force to amplify positive magic that would dissipate the Curse energies. Tobias chose to sacrifice himself but Gromian knocked him and took his place in the ritual. The Crown remnants amplify his life force and the ritual works, ending the Curse. Gromian's corpse is buried in the temple of Iomedae after an honorable ceremony. Gozran 9 The Resistance Army finishes eliminating the last pockets of devil or Ileosa-allied government forces. Lots of executions happen, including that of Glorio and Sabina. More aid is organized and supplied to the civilians. Finally, lots of discussions happen regarding how to restore a good Korvosan government. Gozran 16 After a week, the remaining authorities in Korvosa finish nominating some candidates for the role of monarch and then voting takes place. Tobias of the Lucky Bastards is allowed to cast a vote along with several magistrates and important persons. Cressida Kroft is voted as the new Queen and a hasty coronation is done, since Korvosans did not want the city to remain ruler-less and vulnerable for more time. Desnus 20 With Korvosa restored and the crisis averted, the contract between the city and the Lucky Bastards end and the stipulated rewards are given. A title of land is rewarded to the Lucky Bastards and they begin founding a new town called Luckhaven in the fork of the Yondabakari river that leads to Abken, Janderhoff, and Sirathu. They hire a lot of workers to build the town and make trade agreements with other towns and villages. Neth 3 Almost eight months have passed since the Liberation War of Korvosa (and 1 year and 3 months have passed since King Eodred died and the Korvosan Crisis began). Relations with the shoanti improved after they were granted fertile lands below the Storval Rise (as repayment for their help in the Liberation War). An embassy for them was built in Korvosa and shoanti shamans were given the privilege of visiting ancient burial chambers below Korvosa. Neolandus stayed as an advisor for Queen Cressida. Grau continued the persona of Blackjack, working more for the safety of children in Korvosa. Vencarlo stayed as a combat trainer, sometimes rendering services to Lucky Bastards recruits. Maidrayne Vox stayed in Korvosa for a long time to monitor any devil recurrence. Aelfrick Stolya finished the business of his inheritance. He acquired the true testament that his father left and confronted the usurper Lady Rainna. He finally became the true heir of the Stolya manor and also got his hands on some obscure magical codex. Much progress has been made in building Luckhaven and Tobias attends the inauguration of Theandra's second tavern, in Luckhaven. Tobias sees a lot of familiar faces that had their roles in the Korvosan Crisis. Finally, a statue of Gromian is built in Luckhaven to honor and commemorate his great loyalty, sacrifice, and honor.
