WARNING WALL OF TEXT BUT YOU REALLY SHOULD READ IT After the Lady Dancer opened the portal and ushered you
through into Freeport you found yourselves on one of the smaller wooden docks
of the city on the rougher side of town. She begins to relay the information
with regards to what has been occurring in to bring her to your aid in the Deep
and into the Crystal Throne moments late. She begin with her duties in the city
of Verdant Crystal in the temple of Butan where she was preparing the daily
procession that goes through the city and delivers food to the poor. The Lady received
a missive from Butan who said that she must go to Golden Rock and meet with
Bronze Eyes who has a learned of her son. When she arrived and met with Bronze
Eyes, the Lady learned that she had arrived only hours after the group of
adventurers that included her son had set off into the Deep at the behest of
Travis. Bronze Eyes had finally come to the conclusion that Travis had found a
portal to the Crystal Throne of The Vigilant. He mentioned that the libraries
of Seg had transcriptions on the Flux and the Vigilant’s connection to their conclusion
every thousand cycles. He also noted that among his horde of riches was the
soul stone, the stone that would allow the Vigilant to make his own tears
between planes. Bronze Eyes offered the Lady the stone in return for the safe return
of Ark, for Bronze Eyes had given him a task. Knowing her son was so close the Lady
Dancer was anxious to find her son to thwart any harm from coming to him in
such a treacherous place as the Crystal Throne. As she and her retinue made
preparations to leave into the Deep, the temple of Seg was shook with a large
explosion. Priests, clerics, monks, scribes all ran about in panic. The drow
had attacked the temple. It quickly became apparent that the drow had
infiltrated the Redmarch guild and had replaced many of the key leaders. Bronze
Eyes informed Lady Dancer that this incident confirmed several fears he had. He
told her that several of the informants he had in the Redmarch guild had gone
silent. Before their vanishing several had noted that several dispatches into
the Deep, into the drow capital, had been sent while numerous human expeditions
had been sent into the tear that her son was in route to. The Lady Dancer made
with haste in the chaos of the city slaying all drow obstructing her. Along her
path of destruction through the city she was met by the angel of Kron named Idy.
Idy shared the information that the deity devils of Lushius were vying for
power in the twelve Hells and several were attempting to overthrow Lushius. She
had been invited by Bronze Eyes to discuss a theory that Magnus Carvex, the
devil of lies, was using the drow in some way to aid his position in the power
struggle. She arrived at the Deep outpost in time to save her son and his companions
with the help of the bright angel Idy. Together the two deities fought off
hundreds of the Deep ones giving the adventurers time to escape into the portal.
When the duo finally defeated the attacking Deep ones Idy went separately to
warn the nobles of Trent to the chaos occurring in Golden Rock while Lady
Dancer went into the portal to warn her son and save her. While following behind
the heroes wake she encountered the now arising stone sentinels. The sentinels
requested the stone so as to present it to their waking master. Yet as they
awoke they found the destruction caused by the drow. Among the destruction were
the corpses of the people the drow imposters had replaced. Evidently they had
all been sent under the behest of “Travis” to their doom to map and weaken the defenses
of the Throne. When the Lady and the sentinels arrived at the throne it was too
late and the heroes had delivered the corrupted stone to the Vigilant which had
turned him mad with pain and anguish and whom had warped to the Redmarch guild
hall in Golden Rock right into the hands of the waiting drow. The Lady informed
them that the deities of the gods alone could not stop the two cataclysms occurring.
It would require their own efforts to solve these disasters. The flux would continue unhindered and the
hells would be in turmoil and war both of which would mean destruction for the
mortal worlds in they continued if they could not be stopped. With much remorse
the Lady informed the heroes that they would have to become deities themselves
to be powerful enough to stop the events they had set in motion. By the way I try to do my best editing its obvious I don't do the best... DEAL WITH IT! I write a lot for CTPS (Chasing the Planeshredder) and this ain't English class.
