I'm probably going to need a little more info to help you out. By "free shape" do you mean scaling tokens or and/maps? As for not being able to move the tokens or maps, double check that you are:

(A) On the right layer to interact with the desired elements - Cycle through the GM Info Overlay, Objects & Tokens, & Map & Background layers to see if you were on the wrong layer to interact with them.

(B) Double check that you are viewing the board as a GM and not as a Player. At the very bottom of the "My Settings" tab there's a button that either says "Re-Join As Player" or "Re-Join as GM". If you are seeing the second, you're technically viewing Roll20 as a Player and only have the limited permissions a player has. (A player can only move objects and tokens on the token layer and only those that they have assigned permission to move.)

Yes free shape, means i am unable to scale or move maps/tokens across the grid. I double check, i am logged into as a GM not a player. I'm also on the token layer and cannot move any of my monster tokens once they are on the grid. When i highlight a token a blue rectangle highlights it, not the standard scaling icon. Also with the blue rectangle, on top of the token HP/MP boxes and token setting icon shows.

i also made a new campaign and new log on id, yet i still have same problem. I've used Google and explorer browser and still have the same problem.

So if I read that correctly you're using Microsoft's Internet Explorer? Presently Roll20 is compliant with browsers Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. We're working on expanding compatibility as we go along, but you're going to want to use one of those three for gaming purposes for the time being.

Ok, Ive tried a few more things.

I can edit the bar's etc on the token.
I cant resize the token.
I've changed the owner setting to all player, but that makes no difference.

Hello, one of my players can not move their token. It happened both times we played. I think the first time he played his tried using Exporer with a add-on to make it run like Chrome but last time he said he was using Firefox. I am the GM and I gave him the permissions and he assured me he was using the select/grab tool. To work around it I gave permission to some other player and he used the draw tool to indicate where he wanted to move.

Mark: So you can click on the token, and select it, and the little bubbles pop up? Are there little squares at the corners of the selection box? When you hover over them, does your mouse cursor chang to a resize arrow?

And are you still having issues moving tokens as well? Or just selecting them?

I've done a complete re-boot and cleared all cookies and the issue seems to have resolved itself ???
