Looking for a player for Thursday nights.

This is a long running AD&D 2E game that is in the spirit of the old school. We have been running through various old modules both official and out of Dungeon magazine. It is not a super serious game, just some guys getting together to play a game and have some laughs. The party already consists of a bard, ranger, cleric and a cute little wardog. We are currently looking for one player to run a character. The group is 5th-7th level and the new the player will start at 5th. The game takes place on Thursdays at 6:30 CT and is played weekly. We use Skype for voice communication.

I'm one of the Players in this. Tyler is my DM. Would like to see a fellow member of the 2E Tavern come and join our Thursday campaign! Like he said, we are an easy-going group. We laugh, explore, adventure, fight classic monsters, play modules sometimes, and we don't bog down with rules lawyering nor strict combat grids. Who wants to play? Message Tyler! Some of the hundreds of monsters we've faced so far: Roper, Lich, Dragon, land shark, rust monster, naga, vampire, sphynx, basilisk, and a bunch more.

You fought a sphynx? how puzzling. How'd that go down?

Good catch & poorly phrased on my part, PUFF. :) We talked to the gynosphinx! Did not fight her. "Encountered" would have been a better word for the sphynx. We did fight the rest of those though (except I'm also not sure if Naga is the right word for this particular snake lady we fought). A few more were: Troll, Umber hulk, hydra, kelpie (encountered), manticore, arumvorax, ghosts (e), evil wizard, ghouls, spiders, centipedes, oozes, ghasts, and one of our own former PC's returned as a ghoul against us. I'm sensing that there will be an ongoing roster of more monster-manual denizens in the upcoming levels.

PC returned as a ghoul... that's some good classic plot twist right there. I'll have to write that one down !

I coach my kids soccer 6:30-7:30 Thursdays the next two months. Still figured I'd mention interest in case you're desperate and willing to start a little later ;)
