Pathfinder Character Sheet

I'm creating my first Pathfinder character using the Beginner's Box I bought a while ago. My character is a Human Rogue with the ability scores of STR: 13 with +1 Mod DEX: 16 with +3 Mod CON: 15 with +2 Mod INT: 15 with +2 Mod WIS: 14 with +2 Mod CHA: 15 with +2 Mod what I'm wondering is what are the terms here in the circled parts on the sheet, I get the Ability Mod but the Ranks confuse me and the parts of weapons and Attacks confuse me.

Joe - that image is a little too small to be able to make out the text. But, more importantly, it looks like a pdf/paper Character Sheet rather than one of the character sheets found on roll20. This forum is really about the character sheets in roll20. I know there is a great character sheet for Pathfinder on roll20 for Pathfinder (Vince and Samuel are working on it and constantly improving it). In many instances that sheet auto-calculates some stuff making it easier to fill in. I'd recommend looking at that sheet in your campaign and see if that answers most of your questions. If it does not, then you can always feel free to ask about it. I hope this helps.

Thanks G V. for giving vince and I a plug there. And G V. is correct, these issues you're seeing would be solved automatically by the pathfinder sheet. Joe, to answer questions Initiative: Initiative is based on your dexterity modifier. When you go into combat you roll a 1d20 + your initiative. Melee Attack: this modifier uses your strength modifier + your base attack bonus. When you attack with a melee weapon you roll a 1d20 and then you add your melee attack bonus. Ranged Attack: this modifier uses your dexterity modifier + your bases attack bonus. When you attack with a range weapon you roll a 1d20 + your range attack bonus. Skill Ranks: Every level you get a number of skill ranks as defined by your class that you can apply to any skill you want. The max number of ranks you can apply to any one skill is your current level.
