Shopkeeper and "NPC" characters

There is an individual who posted in here that he wanted to play a character who is a shopkeeper, and I thought that was a wonderful idea. I run a Pathfinder game on Saturdays that is FULL at this point. I can't handle more player characters. I CAN however handle a bunch of "downtime" characters of the nature he described. I would love to have you play a shopkeeper in the newly growing town, and bring your ideas of this nature to the game! In the basic story so far (Kingmaker style campaign), the players have come to a new land and are establishing/exploring. They just discovered a city, so commerce can begin between that city and the one they are building. We will use the Ultimate Campaign/Kingmaker kingdom building rules, and there is need for lots more people to fill leadership spots (elections, politics, that style of game more than combat). If you are interested in playing in this manner, submitting a character and actions via forum most of the time with perhaps the occasional roleplaying session, and contributing greatly to the establishment of a city, please contact me to discuss the idea and details. Thanks!

This has worked out better than expected. 7-8 people have already written me, excited about giving this a try. If you want in, give me a shout. No magic shops btw, just a mundane, 1st level NPC shopkeeper, marketing competitive situation. Who can be the best merchant and/or politician in town?

I am still looking for as many people as possible who are interested in portraying local important townspeople and holding a role in the Kingmaker kingdom.

All will make sense when you get in game and read the forums. The place from which you hail is not magical, but the place where the game takes place is, and you just arrived. To get to the forums, VIEW DETAILS. To join the campaign, LAUNCH CAMPAIGN. Ask questions in the forums, and look in the campaign to get an idea of the rough city as it is now.
