Chaotic Neutral Half-Elf Sorcerer
Inside a dimly lit tavern in a small tavern out in eastern
Faerûn, the candles lighting the tavern are all snuffed out at once and a voice
echoes through the establishment. "Tonight I'd like to start out with a
tale near to my heart." On a hastily made looking stage appeared two
figures, one made of light, and the other looked to be a normal human each
embracing one another. “The story begins in a small settlement on the edge of
the High Forest where your average elven maiden fell to the charms of a dashing
mortal man. It was your typical story of love not meant to be, the many being
an adventurer had other duties to attend to and left the woman behind. But he
did leave her a gift as a reminder of their time 'well spent'." The man
faded and the woman of light lost her illumination all but in her stomach which
seemed to have grown larger. More figures, this time without faces, appeared
and disappeared as the voice continued. “As the woman fell into labor she was
met with nothing but stares and whispers of the child she had made with the
outsider the strange outsider. And when the child came to light, to spare him
of the ridicule she faced he was hidden away from the others of village. Ah but
this child was special and a gift laid dormant within him that with time he
would soon discover."
The story continues of the child how he was raised
sheltered and forbidden to leave his home but also of his developing talents
with magics, creating wisps of light and mimicking noises he heard outside, but
this only fortified the mothers resolve to keep her son hidden. The boy was
made of light similar to the mother as the story goes on, the voice skips to
various parts till it reached the climax of the story. “It had been the child's
14th cycle and he grew sick of being cooped up inside. So he devised a plan of
escape, now mind you his other attempts failed because of that damnable naiveté
of his. But he thought it through this time and with his skills he was sure he
could do it. With those little magic tricks of his he casted an illusion and
tricked his dear mother escaping his humble prison... And what he met outside
was just as his mother feared." Faceless images came in and out
point and whispering, the boy light seemed to dim until an image of his mother
came offering to take him home.
“That day
the boy faced for the first time felt like he had been stomped on by people he
had only been able to see from afar. The children ran from him not wanting to
be seen and the Adults made idle whispers as the gazed at him with disgust. The
boy was disheartened and the lights he so joyously made seemed to only last for
moments at a time. His sadness began to grow...grow into something else. He
realized it to anger. Anger he had never felt before for who were these people
to judge him even though they had never took the chance to know him. Who was
his mother to lock him away and hide him form the world. This town was rotten
he though, undeserving of a child such as he." The small lights flickered
and the boy faded only to erupt back in flames, the audience was surprised but
had calmed as the flames didn't spread or radiate any heat. The fire surrounded
the boy and the image of model forte appeared on fire." The boy's light
turned to an uncontrollable blaze. But rather try and put out the flame the boy
let it grow until it consumed his prison, the village he would have let it take
the entire forest if he could but other intervened and it was eventually put
out. The townsfolk were mostly unhurt but devastated this could happen, the
boy's mother's whereabouts were unknown and the boy seemed to have
disappeared."
"Now I'm sure you can assume what happened next, the kids life turned
around after that he went to a place where he could be free and happy. Well
sadly that isn't the case for the boy was right back to where he started after
leaving his ruined home. A stranger unbeknownst to a world he hardly knows but
this time the world was bigger and he had much more to show. For he would
grow to be a light in a vast sky that out shined all others." The boy
turned into an ordinary ball of light as the flames faded away raising till it
stood high above the audience. A light shined down form the ball revealing a
man with pointed ears and questionable hairstyle striking a pose with a cheeky grin."
And that boy of light only grew to be half as great as me. Now let’s start this
night off with something more entertaining." And thus Dandy "The Ever
Luminescent" held another incredible show.
