Buying more Storage.

Hello, I was wondering if there was a way to only buy more Storage without anything else. The problem is, I am currently Student, 4,99$ is just too much for me each Month to spend on a VTT. I am willing to pay something to use Roll20 (20, 30$), but I can't afford to be bound for the next 5 Years for 4,99$ a Month. The only thing I need actually, is more Storage on my account. So i wonder if I could buy 1GB for a specific price. It'd benefit to both Roll20 and I because i'm currently forced to use online image sharer to actually share handsout with my players. Thank you for your answer and see ya.

This thread might be of use to you... while it it may not be an ideal solution it seems you could possibly purchase a single month of supporter and upload all you need within that month? It isn't something i'd advise generally as it is very restrictive but could potentially solve your problem until a more long term solution presents itself. My best advice would be to ask your players to chip in a dollar a month each, especially if playing a long term campaign, it is a small price to pay but reduces your annual subscription cost to a negligible amount... alternatively they could take turns in gifting you a month's subscription easily through the site itself, with 5 players and yourself contributing that is only 9.98 a year! Ultimately though, you are not bound to any length of membership at all (as per the linked thread) so there are at least options open to you =D

The other thing I would suggest is looking at your uploaded art assets for things you can clear out. Removing something from a campaign does not remove it from your art library and dragging in multiple copies of external images results in multiple copies of that image in your library.

I will toss my .02 in. If you use images found on the web without altering them. Don't download then uploaded them, use the art asset search to find that image and drag it from that for those images will not count against your storage limit if you do it that way.

If only it was easier to throw in a link in the search box of an already online image.... I have a hell of a time finding the exact image, even though I've found it in the past on a google search.

Don't copy the entire URL of the picture you found from Google, to find it again in Art Search. Try copying just the picture file name (after the last /slash in the URL, and before the .JPG or .GIF or .PNG). Also try repeating the same search term you used in Google to find it, but now add the picture's file name too.

Don't forget to switch your search selection over to everything also. It is default to tokens so that tends to limit it in image size in searches also. The method I use is what Gold describes.
