Another DL Suggestion Lol

The only other DL suggestion I have is to include line-of-sight for walls. It makes sense a character can see where a torch is shedding light from a friend, where someone with darkvision is the only one who can see their light. The only complaint I have is that if there's a 5 foot stone wall between the group and a light source, they can see the entire room behind the closed door! would make more sense to only allow a character to see squares that are in their LOS
As well as the option to restrict squares where a character can drop their piece. If they accidently step out of a "DL Wall" they're instantly blind to the map, and can only see the parts of the map that are un-prepared. I'm sure the original suggestion of LOS is more useful/immersive, as well as easier to code

Emile, regarding accidentally stepping out of a "DL Wall", you can use Fog of War to prevent that. DL and FoW were designed to work together.  As for line of sight, the Devs have mentioned they are considering the issue. In the meantime there are a number of ways you can limit what light sources the players can see: 1) Fog of War will hide rooms they should not see.  2) As an alternative to FoW, light sources on the GM layer cannot be seen by players. You can switch a light source to/from the GM layer. 3) Light sources can be set to individuals by giving control of the light source to a player. Note: the player needs to be an adult and not move the light source if he isnt supposed to. - Gauss
Thanks Gauss! FOW would have been the smart way of doing it (still getting the ropes of more advanced functions). As far as DL and line of sight go, alot of times i'll just include my map items as tiles and give them DL and set them to "everyone see" when they enter a room, but it's still rough when i'm in a room, room has a torch in the SW corner, and people looking from the western doorway can see into that corner, rather than the center of the room with that corner hidden. Not gonna lie though, the game's great, and if things keep progressing, I'll definatly join the mentor program haha

You can have the corner hidden via Fog of War and reveal it when they go around the corner. The light source will still illuminate the section of the room not covered by Fog. - Gauss
Yeah, I'm tinkering with that ATM. Now only if there was a mobile Fog that would block other players from seeing light produced by each other between walls! :P but seriously, any suggestions you have are appreciated Gauss! And thanks for the speedy reaponses
