Karl's Heroic Series Campaign (Full)

Hey hey everybuddy! I've been browsing this here forum and realized something! A lot of people wanna play 4E, but I'm not seeing too many DMs! I'm here to remedy some of this strain! The infos! When: Mondays, 8-10pm EDT (Tentatively scheduled) How many? 5 players! I'll also hold 3 reserve spots incase of no shows! What ya running? The 4E H series of campaigns! Satrting with The Keep on the Shadowfell! Experience as a DM? Never on Roll20, quite a bit elsewhere! Players experience? I'll take ya new or old! If you've played the H series, please don't apply cause you may ruin it for others! Starting Level? LVL 1! Restrictions? No Drag Mag, Homebrew, or anything else that hasn't been a solid book. I reserve the right to deny anything I find unacceptable! First session? Monday, 20th of August! We'll work out kinks and set up! Bring your PCs! Other thing: We will use Skype for communication! NEXT SESSION: Monday, 10th of September! (*) denotes PC reviewed and acceptable. hey, id like to join the group. I'm in ontario(eastern) and i'm on the new side. Had a 3 hr crash course with a live group, but never actually played a campaign. Monday night works for me as long as its around 8pm-11pm(i work 5am-6/7pm). Let me know

Count me in! I also live in Ontario and Monday sounds super. I have a good friend, he introduced me to D&D and this forum, do you think you could let him play? He didn't post in the other forum (but keep that a secret).

I agree the 2 hours is a short duration, but a combination of my little free time, other DnD things I'm involved with, and the time it takes to set up the maps kinda compounds to the 2 hours. Certain Mondays might be able to go longer, and we'll never cut a boss fight in half. Also! Go check out the character creator over at wizards official site for 4e! Lacking an Insider you can only make up to level.. 3? We'll work around that when it comes! Go ahead and try that out, see how it works for you then attach the file in a psot here so I can review them for players who aren't that familiar! Feel free to post what you are thinking about playing to give others ideas on what needs to be played. REMEMBER! Fun over min/max! EDIT: If you'd like a brush up on the basic 4e rules (and a good laugh) look up "D&D Robot Chicken" and watch those guys play! Really well done in my opinion!

So any race/class in any book is available to choose from?

Yep, if it has been published as a BOOK it is fair game. No drag mag, yaddayadda

I would have loved to play with you guys, but the time difference is too big. I doubt you'll have any trouble finding the last player tho and good luck with the campaign.

Can't seem to use the character builder on the D&D site without an official D&D insider account (monthly fee). I'd like to try a Gnome Sorcerer but have no problem playing a healer if no one else wants to.

Yeah you have to be an insider subscriber to use it. It's well worth the money. Or you can just download a pdf of the character sheet and plug in the info manually.

Hello, I would like to join the group if that's okay. I should be able to play freely on Mondays. I live on the West Coast (California), but that shouldn't be a problem.

I think I'm going to be a Dwarven Ardent Paladin (defender/striker).

Really interested in joining your campaign, I am fairly experienced with 4e so i can help out with anyone who is new to the game. As for the time, Mondays are perfect, so you can expect me there each session.

Here's a copy of my character(just stats and spells), just need to know what kind of backstory we need. Also have a Fighter(weaponsmaster) made up since a spellsword is from forgotten realms, so if i can't use a spellsword thats fine

Sorry I haven't got answers in guys; I'm pretty captivated on Fridays and Saturdays. Any who... Backstory? I would enjoy a decent backstory(why/how of your character), but things like family, lineage, an exact detail of conception to the party is not necessary. I'm happy with just knowing how they became an adventurer/their class and why they do it. Very basic. Suitable changes have been made to the player roster and edits to the OP. I'm in the process of looking through everyone's character sheets. Rahterdash, that is fine. I will get everyone added on SKYPE, please if you haven't already PM me your skype name. Damian you are correct; I have made the change. I should know the 19th is a Sunday! I'll be at GenCon that day! Also, though I'd love to start this Monday I haven't got much work done the campaign do to lack of time, but don't worry! I'll have plenty done for the 20th.

Ok all sheets are looking good at the moment guys and we are still on for the game. Appropriate edits have been made to the OP. Anyone who I haven't ok'd a character sheet for by 6pm EDT on Monday will be replaced for that game. Anyone who misses more than two games in a row will be perm replaced by a fill-in. If I don't have a fill-ins PC confirmed by 6pm I will remove them from that position. I'm not trying to be harsh; I'm just making sure those I can count on game time, and my very precious little time isn't wasted.

All sheets are good. I didn't realize this forum was silly and you could only edit posts for so long until they are locked. Everyone submitted so far is good.

If we need more healing, i've got no problem swapping to a cleric.

I actually switched to basic bard over slapsdidnt like the aura's mechanics. Karl you should set the campaign up on epic words. I think we're well rounded.
