As the patrons of the tavern begin their stumble home after it has become apparent that no more drinks are being served that night, Vrinn and his current lady friend (Bambi perhaps... Yeah, he's pretty sure this one is Bambi) were about to head up the stairs to his room as well to join in the night time festivities. "Go on up Bambi, I'll be a long in a minute to frizzle your frazzles..." he says absent mindedly, ushering her upstairs as his attention is drawn towards a distraught looking Ameiko bursting forth from the tavern. He had heard the lovely oriental woman arguing with Miro over something earlier, but that seemed to be the norm ever since he began to muscle in on her kitchen. Nevertheless, he felt as though he should do something at least. He never did enjoy seeing a woman in tears... Making his way over to the table where he found her attempting to collect herself, he smiled down at her "Do you mind if I join you?" he asked with a nonchalant lilt to his voice. Before even waiting for her response, he sits down at the opposite side of the same table, his crystalline blue eyes smiling while he reclines in the chair. Pulling a flask from one of his many pockets and taking a swig of the fine brandy, he offers the elaborate polished steel container to her "Rough day..."
Ameiko, in her private stall usually reserved for her best friends or most important guest, quickly wipes her eyes and glares sternly at Vrinn. "I'm fine, Vrinn. So get out," she says in her heavily accented common, made worse by the thickness of sorrow. "I'm not like one of your bar whores..."

Simply shrugging as he retracts the proffered flask of brandy, he instead takes another swig for himself before stoppering it and placing it back into one of his many pockets. "Ameiko..." He begins, his gaze drawn to a candle, watching it flicker in the night air as he chooses to neglect her desire for him to leave for the moment "Trust me when I say I know what it feels like to have an overbearing parent" he says as he levels his eyes down to look into hers, his blue orbs seeming to be the most honest and sincere since his arrival "So trust me when I say that no one knows what's best for you more than you. If you don't want to join the family business, no amount of yelling or screaming or tantrums your father can throw will convince you otherwise. And besides..." Vrinn says as he leans over the table, his long blonde hair draping across the wood, his plush lips forming a mischievous smirk "You saw how everybody stuck up for you today, we had your back. If there's anything you need..." he finishes before standing, placing a hand on her shoulder and smiling down at her
Ameiko gives a short laugh and wipes her eyes with the heel of her hand. "I noticed... I'm surprised, a little that you all came to my aid... I just... don't want to disappoint my father...I love my family. I know how hard he..." He voice catches and she hangs her head a little to hide her tears. "Sorry, Vrinn..." She takes a deep breath and wipes her eyes again. "It's rare for you to be a gentleman, Vrinn or is this just another game."

Smirking at her question, he simply shakes his head, still standing at her side, his hand squeezing her shoulder slightly "Are we all not players in the larger game? Am I playing you like a bard would play a shamisen?" he smirks at his own line of questioning "Sometimes I don't even know myself..." he finishes with a slight chuckle, his eyebrows raises as though he's laughing internally. "But one thing I doubt" he says as he once more takes on a serious visage and his eyes once more boring into hers "I seriously doubt that you, Ameiko, of anyone, would be able to disappoint anyone, let alone your father..."
In her turn, she smiles a little laughs without humor, "Vrinn, that is precisely what I've done...I just don't know how Tsuto got on his wrong side..."She leans back and sighs. "Played like a shamisen, nanoka? Dui le. We've all been played a time or two..."
