Looking for 1-2 players for FFD6 Game, Pacific coast time, late at night.

Hello people. I am trying to start up a final fantasy D6 game. The schedule is nothing solid, so people will need a flexible schedule. People will also need to be able to play fairly late at night. (starting time is between 8-10 PM, pacific coast time). We'll be playing in the final fantasy vii world. Im still working ou the specifics, and already have 1, maybe two players lined up. Any questions? Pop em into the thread. Wanna play? Contact me over skype. It's first come first serve. My skype name is: Skijarama
Question wise, while I could take a guess at exactly which FFD6 system you mean (if it's the one I'm thinking of, I'd be interested), it would be easier to ask which one and if you have a link to the material. Other than that, FFVII world sure, but what time frame? And if anywhere near the canon time period, did the canon happen, or something else; are the main characters still around, etc.

And yes, canon events will still be in full motion.
Oh fantastic it is the one by Dust, excellent. :3 And ah okay, hmm, so asides from mechanical questions, what's the game hook, beyond set in FFVII, what will we be doing?
Are there going to be any job restrictions? What races are allowed (just the race's seen in ffVII?)? Is this going to be voice or video gaming? How many people are you looking for? Where are we starting? What level are we beginning at? How long are you planning on running this game? Are we going to be able to use/find summon materia? What sort of plot line are you going for? Are we going to have any effect large enough in the game to alter the cannon in any way? Are you going to use roll20 maps for combat? (I really think the turn based tactics style combat would suit this...)

Still kinda trying to figure that one out. I usually don't have any set-in-stones plans when GMing, because my players have a tendancy to derail my plans. I have a functional system though, so don't worry about that. Aeroscathe said: Are there going to be any job restrictions? What races are allowed (just the race's seen in ffVII?)? You CAN use unusual species, but I'd rather you not. another player has already done this. Voice or video: Voice. Im planning on keeping it to skype only. not everyone in my group can use roll20 due to bad internet, People count: Ive got 4 right now. So 1 more would hit my limit of 5 players and a GM. Starting point: Midgar. You'll be members of SOLDIER. Level: one. Running time: Not a clue. I am the type to play until it dissolves, the party dies or everyone agrees its time to end. Summon materia: With time, I see no problems with it. Plotline: I generally wing it while keeping a list of consequences based on player actions. This can help make your choices actually matter. Altering the canon: I'm leaving that to chance. Roll20 maps: Sadly, no. Again, one or two of my players are not capable of roll20 due to internet issues.
Are there any established qualities that androids have that make them distinct, such as not needing to breath? Drink? Eat? Defecate? What other mediums are you going to be using to play this game, since roll20 is not an option? Is this purely a "Mind's Eye" type of game, where we are essentially guestimating where things are, and the distances between them? What class of SOLDIER are we going to be, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd? How long have we been with SOLDIER? If we are not 1st class, then what equipment is going to be provided for us, since this is a military organization (as in, typically SOLDIERs were assigned gear, and are not allowed to use personal items in their loadout unless they are 1st class...but then, being 1st class would mean we are likely a higher level than 1...I guess the real question is, are we going to be making any pre-game purchases with our level 1 gil, or do we get to keep it all as you'll be giving us our gear?) Since you don't have a run time, what do your current players think? Since you're going to 'wing it', are we just going to be playing in a sandbox game? Because, as SOLDIERs, we'll typically be given missions...so...do you have anything in mind? How extensive do you want character backgrounds to be? Do our backgrounds even matter? What is the scheduling? I know you said it's pretty open, but this question should generally be one of the first to be answered in order for people to get together and play. Do your players have a similar schedule?
I think I'd prefer roll20 over Skype, and generally typing over voice, so I think I'll bow out to let others that are interested have a shot.
