Session 3 + XP

Ok, this isn't the log but it's a start. Presenting the Quillbat:
Very nice. It looks so cute! Who would think "Sathar" looking at that? Hehe... Obviously, I didn't have my own picture. I especially like the segmented chest area, betraying its hidden insectile nature. Regarding XP, we were at 41. Plus 1 for on-time (close enough), 1 for creative, 1 for log (when it arrives), and 3 for the ransom and rescue event - so I'm guessing the new total will be 47.
Log for session 3 As the team regroups at the apartment, Rodworth is troubled over the facts that they have uncovered so far with the kidnapping. Being a veteran of Clan political infighting the facts just does not add up. The Styrigian’s ruling family is just too ruthless to be cowed into being paying a ransom for a minor member of the family. Rodworth purposes that hit the university computer lab to delve deeper into this mystery. Joseph announces that he will state behind and keep an eye on the recovering Ke'Kremik. He will also look over the data given to him by Quagmire on the super Dralasite project to win the Vortex Race. At the University, Eusyl researches reveals that the princess Alice had disappear for a year around the time of her nieces birth, and Rodworth announces that he suspect that the girl is really Alice’s bastard daughter. This changes the nature of the investigation, since Alice is one of two candidates for heir to the throne, the other heir Andrew (Excuse me if this is incorrect, as I believe there was confusion on whether Andrew is the present king or the son. I lost track) could have taken the child to place pressure on his sister. The group decided that research all of the prince’s holdings on the planet, to find the likely location where he would hide the child. During this research Eusyl notices that computer room monitor had place a call on his Chromocom to persons unknown and then snapped a pick of Eusyl, Rodworth, and Kile. After an a brief starring contest being Eusyl and the monitor, the team decides to leave and check out the prince’s holding in the university dome, but before they could leave, two sets of police officers enter the computer lab, a pair of reds and blues police. Both police groups have a history of operating at cross purposes, an arrangement very likely due to internal politics as both groups appear to support separate candidates as heirs to the throne of Styriga. At first of Eusyl, Rodworth, and Kile hesitate but Rodworth tell his team mates that their best bet is to casually walk toward the pair of red officers in an attempt to bluff their way pass. If that should fail they can attempt to fight their way through before the Blue Officers can get to them. Luckily for our heroes, as they near the Red officers they motion for them to run, which causes the Blue team to spring into action. Ordering our heroes to halt, the Blue officers fire at Rodworth and one of the Red officers. Being hit by laser fire, Rodworth fires back, urging the rest of team to run before reinforcement can arrive for the Blue officers. Our heroes manage to get to the tram as reinforcements arrive for both the Red and Blue police and the fire fight in the Computer lab escalates to a pitch battle between the two. Before the tram can leave a Red police officer approaches the heroes and informed them to call the computer in charge of the kidnap investigating. Contacting computer our heroes learn that the Monitor at the computer lab was working for Princess Alice and that the Blues are still in the dark of the party identities, but their action have stirred up a hornet’s nest which potentially can lead to identities of the kidnapper. The Computer request that Rodworth and his associates meet with Alice’s man servant. Contacting Joseph to meet up with rest of the team, they make their way to Alice’s home in the Arbor dome. There they are met by Alice’s man servant who indicate that the team’s action have gone further than any other group investigation, and Princess Alice make an appearance and tells the team that a random demand has been made, and that she would like the team to accompany her people to the ransom drop as a set of additional eyes that can provide an outsider outlook on the situation. The Drop off for the Ransom is bank in one of the less savory neighborhoods in the Capitol drone. A team of heavy armed security guard accompanies the ransom, of million credits in god ingots arrive after the party looks over the location. As the team take their places a an unarmed level sixth warbot rolls up to armor car and announce that it is there to pick up the ransom. The Warbot’ s demands are simple, it will be allow to carry the gold ingots to the bank vault, when completed an air car that flew above the block will land and deliver the princess. Rodworth demands that before the Warbot can be allowed access to the gold that they require a drop of the child blood to insure that no deception is occurring. The pilot of the air car. pricks the child’s finger, causing several drops of blood to fall to the pavement, Joseph analysis the blood confirming that it type A and that the child is heavily sedated. The princess’s people ask to down load Joseph medical scanner data, and confirm the child identity as Lisa Styrigi. Satisfied Rodworth gives the go ahead for the transfer to begin after they examine the vault. Kile notices as that the Warbot has a power generator, which is unusually as Warbots are power via Para batteries and sensing so kind of deception, position himself in the basement of the vault under the bank. After insuring that there is no possible exit from the vault, the robot is allowed to transfer the gold. As soon as the last ingot if loaded into the vault, the robot closes the vault door and the air car attempts to fly off with the Lisa Styrigi. Rodworth, Eusyl and Alice’s agents open fire on the air car, forcing it to the ground. Rodworth and Eusyl rush to air car and pull Lisa Styrigi from the back seat as the car catches fire. The pilot surrenders without a struggle. Joseph examines the child and concludes that other than physically beaten and drugged there are no major injuries that would endanger the child. Kyle detect nothing at going on in the basement of the bank and checks the vault monitor were he spot the robot, moving between the piles of gold to a sink inside the vault. The robot makes a few trips to other location in the vault, indication that retrieves other material other than the gold. Rodworth suspicion is that the robot is melting the gold down and pouring it down the sink to the sewer below. Kyles and Eusyl rush to the sewers and locate the pipe from the sink, while it is vibrating; it is cool to the touch. Eusyl severe the pipe and small gold sphere drops out of end of the pipe connected to the bank. The Sphere is accompanied by additional gold sphere, and finally a black sphere of several cm falls to Eusyl feet. Rodworth recognizes the material of the black sphere as plutonium, since Rodworth Clan, the Shimout are mine and process uranium to feed breeder reactors to create plutonium fuel pellets. With that Kile and Eusyl retreat to the surface and inform the princesses’ peoples of what is occurring in the sewers (Why Kile or Eusyl didn’t did not palm a gold pellet or two I do not know) and they send for a team equipped with rad suits, and Joseph and Rodworth escort Lisa back to Alice’s estate. Eventual after all the gold has been processed the Warbot begins to disassembling itself, destroying its processor and memory bank. Unfortunately the reinforcement forget to bring Rad meter, so they are unable to track any radiation from Plutonium pellets that may have been deliver before Eusyl cut the pipe so the kidnapper made a clean getaway, but a large portion of the random was recovered. Meanwhile Rodworth and Joseph arrives at Alice’s estate, Alice’s people take charge of Lisa and Alice’s Man servant had Rodworth a credit stick with 10,000 Styrigis. Alice approaches Rodworth and commends him his team performance and offers them long term employment, which Rodworth accepts. Alice informs Rodworth to return tomorrow and meet with her man servant for details. Meeting up at the university dome, Rodworth shows Kile and Eusyl the credit stick, the team process to Scooney to celebrate their good fortune, by throwing a party in which Tronager is invited. Another day without their legs being broken by loan collectors with the promise of gainful employment and for Rodworth a shot at the princess (Hey a guy can dream). Returning to their apartment, they find that Ke'Kremik has awaken, thanking the team (paying a lot of attention to Both Kyle and Rodworth) he ask to borrow Kyle’s Chronocom and make a call ( Hope it was long distant) for his friends to pick him up. It not too long that a masked human arrives, and literally carries Ke Kremik off. Rodworth wonders if this is either Mr Jones, or the Minotaur. And our team retires for the night….
Wow, how do you keep such a record? I find it difficult to keep minutes. I wish I could draw as well. My creativity leans toward designing items/devices/weapons in games. Stuff like my Halon Grenades, Tablet Mines and Spiderweb Gun (though ended up not being mine).
I'll post a creative - Haiku: Set to begin new, Just graduated and young, Five we are, eager, lost.
Sounds like Carlos is volunteering for the upcoming week's creativity award work? Add a few more stanza's and I'm happy.
A Hiaku is only 17 syllables - it is the purest form of expression, it is not a poem with stanzas, sorry buddy :) In those 17 syllables, I have tried to express who the party is and their life predicament. Try to do that in 17 syllables and tell me if it is easy.
True, but haikus often go in groups, where each haiku introduces a new idea while referencing an important concept from the last one.
Ah well, you got me there. I have an idea - game sessions by Haiku. I'll see what I can do.
