Hello! I am currently looking for 4-6 players 18 and up for a home brew campaign that is midway between sandbox and railroad. I'm pretty new to the 5th edition rules but have played 3.5 for over 4 years. I don't mind new players or veteran players. I really enjoy players who can role-play and who know when to be serious and when to joke around. The players will be able to choose any race from the player's handbook. but i have custom Gods to choose from. There isn't a set time for this campaign to start because it would depend on the players. I'm usually able to play any day of the week after 8pm central time. Tell me a little about yourself, role-playing style and what you expect from your DM.
I'd be down to join you in your games. I am a level 1 account but have experience in One Shots and have played some games before and can play at night.
Also a level one account, but I've played a few editions IRL. 1st, 4th, and 5th I believe. Would love to play anytime.
Age: 23 Roleplaying Experience: I started off playing D&D3.5 when I was a teenager, and since then I've tried several games including Dungeon World, Apocalypse World, Pathfinder, D&D 5e and Stars Without Number Play style: I enjoy every part of RPG gaming. I like doing different voices for different characters. Depending on the flavor of the campaign sometimes I spend my time wondering how my character is going to grow and change his view of the world, sometimes I theory craft for days and try to make a strong min/max build. As you can see from my experience I've done everything from heavy rules to light rules, combat focused, and narrative focused. Preferred GM style: For me as long as the players and DM work together to ensure that the RP elements are diverse by spending more time on character development and relationships and avoiding common tropes it's quite riveting. Likewise, when I play a session/campaign focused on heavy combat as long as there is lots of room for tactical decision making and there is a real threat of danger it still feels new and exciting, even though I might be fighting familiar opponents the setting and the stakes make each experience unique to me. Availability: Thursday or Sunday from 8pm would be the days I could play
There are currently two spots left open to play.
I am 24, I have played DnD before but not 5e, everytime I get into a game the Dm seems to leave haha. have had bad luck. But i am new to 5e but I originally played the 1st edition. I am so down for roleplay and such. Really looking for a solid group to enjoy Character Name: Keleric Race: Wood Elf Class: Ranger Background/Origin: Having been seperated from his family during a horrible sea storm as a child, Keleric found refuge in the closest forest from the shore he washed up on. Surviving from berries and the scraps from the nearby wolf pack. Finding what is left after they moved on. Unfortunately he was not patient enough in waiting as the wolves smelt his scent and came after him. Being able to barely fight the first two of the three wolves off himself with a hand made shiv from a tree, Keleric found himself the ground with his back to a rock. A bite across his wrist and three claw scars across his left cheek, Keleric laid there clinging onto life. Right before what wouldve been Keleric's final moments, an arrow flew threw the air and into the last wolf's heart, an arrow from the bow of a nearby guide named Khamann. This man soon became somewhat of a father to Keleric, raising him and teaching him the ways of tracking and the lay of the land. Training him how to survive of the land itself. A sense of a natural balance and order of the wild. Keleric took to the bow and sword quite well. Soon becoming known for his trueshot across the town. As he grew older Keleric also became a guide and a hunter, selling hides and guiding the nobles across the beast scaled land unscathed, to earn coin. Soon having enough coin to go out and look for his parents. Khamann had always wanted him to go out and become something bigger than a measly guide in this small town. So Keleric sets off into the world with his honed skills for adventure and maybe an answer to his parents. Alignment: Lawful Chaotic Strengths: Guide, Honest and Patient, very keen eye to detail, Empathetic Weakness: Feels indifferent to nobles or well mannered folk. Doesn't trust magic.
Hey Alex. :) Age: 28 Roleplaying Experience: I started with 1st Edition of DnD when I was rather young, and have been playing ever since. I have played and run several games, including every edition of DnD including Pathfinder, most of the World of Darkness games, Exalted, FATE, HERO, BESM, and Shadowrun. Play style: I consider myself a veteran roleplayer, comfortable in hack-n-slash as well as heavy RP. I try to bring something interesting and noteworthy to the table, adding my own special brand of crazy to the mix. I do not care for trolls, metagamers, or anyone who is there to spoil the fun for others. Preferred GM style: The only real concerns I have are respect and fairness. The GM is not there to try and kill the player characters, out wit the players, or otherwise act like an ass. I have had fun with 20 year vets and newbies just reading out of a module. Skill matters less to me then simply being cool. Availability: Any night after 6pm except Sundays.
