BobolexAmeiko

Bobole wakes up hours (not sure, allot probably.) his eye hole really stinging, he looks around for food or books, whatever is closer.
(Where did he fall asleep again?)
(MIddle of the Rusty Dragon)
*there's chairs an probably Miro in the kitchen in the morning, whipping up the breakfast menu*
Bobole lifts his head off the table, coming off with a wet slurping sound as a long line of viscous puss-mingled blood goes from his eye socket to the table. He looks around, the line whipping this way and that as he looks for food or books, trying his best to ignore the excruciating pain that exhaustion and obsession and shielded him from before.
Ameiko comes out from the kitchen with a horrified expression and a string of curses in Minkaian. "BOBOLE!" She grabs him by the collar, some waitresses stand conspiratorily by the back door and open it as Ameiko drags him out. "You're disgusting! And sick! You need a healer!" She shouts back at the cracked door. "Tell Synovia to have that table disinfected. I don't care if it takes her all day. Tell Miro to come out here and get his "brother" cleaned up!" The former adventurer looks down at Bobole. "Why didn't have Miro heal you before?!"
Bobole does his best to focus, absently scratching the open wound "You sound funny, I mean funnier sounding then most longshanks. Do all Longshanks from Tian Xia sound like you?"
"That's not the poi- EH?!" she stops in a surprised yelp. "How...how do you know this?" she says narrowing her eyes. "Goblins should not know this."
Syn goes to the table maker/carpenter gets a new table and chops the other into firewood, then returns to serving and reading.
"I read it in a book, it in a pictures of Longhsanks in funny armor and other longshank gods. Kind of boring, the battles we're cool thou." Bobole's eye goes to the book Synovia was reading, remembering fragments of it he read the night before, muttering it to himself. "Healer in the back, Fighter up front, Wizard in the middle, keep eye on thief.
Ameiko considers Bobole carefully. "Bobole...how do you even know HOW to ready? Goblins think words take their souls or something."
Bobole grins widely, pointing to his displaced eye now serving as a crude amulet "This keeps the words from stealing my thoughts, as for the reading..." he looks around with his one eye, the socket twitching out of reflex "I learned from a pointy ear I met on the way here, Ambrose. Funny old guy, never met a pointy ear with a beard. He tied me up and taught me words, said it was a, a, a..." bobole put's a finger in his socket, tapping the bone " "An experiment in nature." Something like that, anyway he tied me up, showed me words and what they said, and then poofed away in a burst of fire! That was really cool."
The explanation doing little to clear her confusion, Ameiko shakes her head and waves her hands to arrest the story bubbling forth. "Wait! Some elf or someone tied you up? WHY?...Wait..." she narrows her eyes, "Do I want to know what you did?"
"Tried to cut his ears off..." Bobole is silent for a moment, mulling a thought over "Why do you have a book on adventuring, are you an advenurer?"
She sighs and nods her head. "I used to be. It was fun and then I inherited the Rusty Dragon, much to my late father's chagrin..." She crosses her arms. "Now, my turn, why did you try to cut off someone's ears?"
Bobole, not really paying much attention, assums she means the old elf "He was sleeping and he was a pointy ears, it was obvious. Turned out he wasn't sleeping." "So tell me about adventuring, what you fight with, what kind of armor, what did you eat!?"
Ameiko leans her head back and looks up that the sky. "There's a lot to tell but a lot to experience as well, little goblin. The first thing about being an adventurer is be decisive and of that I think you are in no short supply. Second is to be prudent and judicious, of that I think you are wanting." She looks back down at him sternly. "There are many things to a...uh...encounter, yes that's the word. Who can fight effectively? Is fighting even necessary? Is there a trap around we should be wary of? There's a lot but Synovia is in need of my training, not you. You're just a goblin and you'll just forget about this in a few days when your belly is empty and aching."
With these dismissive words something clicks into place, the once dismayed gears in the goblins mind slowly shift into order, turning at a dizzying speed. in this whirlwind of thought two elements are burning in him now, things that have been in any goblin''s mind before, cunning and ambition. Bobole wiggles out of Amiko's grasp, running out the door.
