Light Block api?

Is there a toggleable API that when toggled on makes it so any token pasted is qeiried and a line of light blocking is ran through it like. !block-center on Makes it so a large dot is placed in the center and !block-ver on makes it so a vertical line runs through when its placed. And !block-hor on makes it so a horizontal line is run through. And !block-Dia on makes it so a diagnal line is run through? And !block-off Just turns off the api's function? And if so could it be made to work with Aaron's snap paste script?

Such a thing could be written...

It's a trademark of the scriptomancer to mutter "Yeah, that could be coded" and a few hours later he presents you with a working script, that within days or weeks grows into a fully polished jewel of API. ^_^

Hahaha. Sorry about that. For the record, I'll talk about API all day long given the option. =D And I love writing scripts to help people out (you should see the monster I recently wrote for Her Magesty, Queen of Kittens!) What I really should have said was "tell me more about the problem you're trying to solve." but the end of the day at work was super busy and I just threw in the first thing I could type! (I've got abou 400 messages to catch up on from my weekend away from technology! So, tell me what problem you're trying to solve. :)

I thought the requested api was self explanatory. It would be nice to actually use the lighting feature of the game but that takes way too long.,. So I thought if I could just have the tokens be auto light obstruction enabled when I post them. Then I could like, easily and quickly make a forest of trees to block the light at night tiem and so on. It just needs to be turnable onable, be ableto handle multiple size tokens even if its just even square tokens, and not take up the whole token.

So, the general idea here is that you have a script which could be in an on or off state. when in an on state, it would create a DL line which would be in some particular orientation and have some particular shape: o | - / \ You'd like to use it with the copy paste alignment script, which means it would actually need to be a part of that script, or do some fancy foot work to know when and where to draw. It's definitely feasible, though I don't know that I'll be able to work on it any time soon. DL is a bit more tedious than just moving graphics around. =/

Oh, that is disappointing. But thanks for thinking about it. P.S. You did get the desire right though.

Yeah, sorry. =( Unfortunately it is complicated by several factors. I'll try to poke at it this weekend if I get some free time.
