Well Met! I'm looking for a well experienced D&D players that are willing to play a 3.5 Planescape campaign with the focus of dipping across the multiverse (as well as into other settings like Ravenloft, Forgotten Realms, Dark Sun, Spelljammers, etc). I would like to run as a player but I'm willng to DM with the following setup as a "Meta-Planescape" campaign: Hook: The players are sitting in a basement just about to begin their D&D game when their surroundings are suddenly whisked away into a Sigil. With the group's DM mysteriously absent, the players are left perplexed in a fictional world that now seems very real. Amongst the confusion, a robed figure comes frantically running toward the seated party, proclaiming "They have arrived, by The Great Unknown, they have arrived!". Hopefully, this man can shed some light on what's happened and how the party can get back to home to Earth... Mechanics: The players retain all their meta knowledge and are in essence, themselves. They begin to discover that they have the abilities/skills/appearance of the characters that they rolled up (1st level characters), as their character sheet dictates; the nature of this phenomina will be explored in the game. As such meta knowledge can be used ingame. Starting Equipment: The characters will have the same clothing and possessions that they had when they were shifted over to Sigil, including the items around the vincinity of the tabletop which was transported as well. For example, a player would start off with whatever's in his pockets (wallet, cell phone, change, etc.), typical clothing, Player's Handbook, maybe a Monster Manual, a few bottles of Mountain Dew, et al. They won't have things that their character sheet indicates though, so no longsword or spellbooks or armor. While real world currency is useless in Sigil, the mundane real world items could be priceless exotic goods to be traded for essential equipment/services e.g. Mountain Dew, while plentiful in our world, is non-existent in the Planescape multiverse and thus merchants would barter top coin for a few pints worth of such a unique beverage. Let me know if you're interested. Best Regards, Alex
