Sword
& Sorcery Online Community General
Assembly / Ruling
Council
The
SSO community exists to organize and oversee the running of the SSO
campaigns on all the different world-maps in Roll20.net and to
arbitrate the exchange of units and characters from one campaign to
another.
Players
those
who are set up on a map.
GMs
the
creators and/or
moderators of those maps.
RMs
(ruling master) any GM who is a
voting member of the Ruling council.
Election
Officer: RM Barry A
The
General Assembly will
consist of all players and GMs. All players are delegates or
non-voting members of the Assembly. To become members with voting
rights you
register with the elections officer.
All GMs have life membership. The
election officer is the most senior member of the Assembly who wishes
to serve. Term is at pleasure but can be removed by a 2/3 majority
vote of the Assembly. All
votes are open until the online voting service is acquired then it is
by secret ballot. The Assembly has the power by a 2/3 majority vote
to suspend a member of the community and by a ¾ majority vote expel
a member of the community. The Assembly also approves all rule
changes, 33%+1
for a temporary rule, 50%+1 for an optional rule, and 67% for a
permanent rule.
The
Ruling Council consists
of all the GMs. All are delegates or non-voting members. To become a
member a GM registers with the election officer. To maintain voting
rights a member must vote on 3 of the last 5 ballots before the
Council. The Ruling Council has final says on any appeal on the rules
in the game. The Council by a 25% vote proposes any temporary rule to
the Assembly, by a 33% vote proposes any optional rule, and a 50%
vote any permanent rule. Voting
is by open ballot.

None, all is free. Those who
create content will get a demi-plane in either the astral or ethereal
plane. Which is up to the creator of SSO which is me. If someone gets
ambitious and creates the Game App they will get a size XL Astral
dominion for life and life membership in the General Assembly and
Ruling Council. I will look into using the Unity or Unreal game
engines to create the game program. No AI and just 2D maps with
counter-tokens.

Each demi-plane has a Seat of
Power that occupies a number of hexes as indicated in the table. Each
Seat has a level like the size of a settlement. It can be increased
by +1 per turn and costs the new level in power. New Seats start at
level 1 and have a maximum level as above. A player gains the Seat's
level in power and gold per turn. This differs from a settlement's
size which is an income of that size in power and double it in gold
per turn.
Each demi-plane has 1 Great
Gate. An Astral gate for an Astral Dominion and an Ethereal gate for
an Ethereal Domain. Travel to and from a demi-plane is by Great Gate
only.
I start out on an Astral
demi-plane of size small with the Dominion of Eldarmar which is the
name of the first PC I created way back lost in the eternal mists of
the ethereal in 1E D&D.
GMs can't have any of their
characters or units travel to their own maps nor any characters or
units from any Realm on their map travel to their demi-plane. I'm
stuck until another world-map is created in the ethereal plane of the
Great universe. You put your demi-plane on a separate page in your
campaign world. Each owner of a demi-plane must keep all their Game
turns in order to have that demi-plane transferred over to the Game
App.
Until SSO has it's own App
players will not need the gate code only have the origin and
destination gate stones. Those who have demi-planes will receive 1
gate stone copy of each new world-plane.
Great
Gates
on maps
Ethereal gates must equal or
exceed the number of Astral gates. The world-map of Arrvale in the
ethereal plane of the Great Universe has 2 Great Gates, the Hellson
Astral gate and the Eodred Ethereal gate.
