Why do rogues wear leather armor? Because it’s made of hide. 🥷

My posts before were too elaborate I guess so here my short search: I'm looking to play in a party of maybe 4-6 people and I'm pretty much open to settings, although I currently don't like (post-)apocalyptic and my personal preferences would be "standard" fantasy with magic or Star Wars, including force-use. I have so far only watched custom DnD 2.5, another custom DnD which might have been 3.5 and some Warhammer Dark Heresy. In other words I have an idea of how systems work or can work but I haven't really played yet. Therefore if a party/dm wants to put up with me I'd need some material of whatever system is used. I'd prefer playing once a week friday/sunday/monday/tuesday for maybe 4 hours or so starting somewhere between 5-8pm CEST which is 11am-4pm EST and 8am-1pm PST.
Twinkie have you seen this one? https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/27451/europian-... CEST Group. I'm volunteering to run it.
Thanks, I've posted an application in the listing but I guess I'm the 8th applicant :P
yeah, but it sometimes happens that players who want to run a game in CEST see a list like that and hit up people. that's a large chunk of euro time slot players. And one of those players (me) is a DM that's CEST friendly. So we'll see how that shakes out over a couple of days. My magic setting might be a bit too harsh for you, but it gets your name out there among CEST players. I also used to be a big fan of the golden cream-filled spongecake, before the Dark times. (That's how I saw you.) In any case, welcome to the community.
Well I know that it gets kinda broken lategame but that's not what I want it for ^^ I just like to be able to do more than moving around and "I swing/shoot at X" in combat. I mean in the 2.5 campaign I watch they did some funny but borderline campaign breaking stuff with polymorph other. As a combatspell that's kinda insane if you don't modify it. On the other hand I feel a tiny bit of op-ness for wizards is not completely unjustified given that a higher level fighter or any actually scary monster seems to kill them in one turn. They have disabled or restricted some spells too though, for example "wish" and a portalspell that I can't remember the name of.
