Hey my name is Joe and my friend here is Shelley. We are both 27 years old and live in Canada in EST. I have never played D&D before but after watching Critical Role on Geek and Sundry I have been looking for a game ever since. We have read the player handbook for 5e a few times over and have created characters. My character is a Half-Elf male Cleric named Aeron who aspires to follow in his fathers footsteps and live up to the stories of his father his mother told about him before she died (father died before the twins were born) and twin brother to my friends character. Shelley has played Shadowrun and 2e for her experience and also has read the rules for 5e from the player's handbook. Her toon is a Half-Elf Sorceress Larathnae that is flirtatious but also easily distracted by shiny objects. Our toons are twins who's father died before they were born, while growing up their mother would tell them stories of their courageous cleric father that protected the people from oppression. By the age of 10 their village was ransacked and their Mother was killed. They were found a few days later by a passing caravan as the lone survivors of their village and taken to the city. Aeron had an affinity to heal people while Larathnae showed powers of the arcane. Once in the city Aeron was taken to the church of Dol Dorn and Larathnae was taken to the church of Aerdrie Faenya to be taught their respective magics. After training for many years they have emerged full fledged members of their churches ready to take on the world and find the men that destroyed their village for justice.
