Insane Star Wars: Edge of the Empire campaign idea

I have been GMing Edge of the Empire for months now and I realized that when I GM Edge (or anything for that matter) the campaign always becomes wacky and crazy. No matter how hard I try to be serious, I still go town the road to silly town, Examples include: A Jawa bounty hunter who is OP, two Trandoshan pirates who are so dumb and incompetent that they almost got knocked out by failing knowledge checks, player capture a Moffs mother and blackmail him in to sending them money by threatening to give her back to him. Needless to say my games are not for the serious minded. So that is where my new campaign idea comes in and it is totally insane. An alternate history games where Ewoks have conquered the galaxy and rule it with an iron fist. How well a race is treated in this empire is in direct relation to how fuzzy they are (good for wookies, bad for humans, crap for Duros). The campaign would focus around a band of freedom fighters trying to bring down this oppressive (yet very cute) regime. This is the basic idea so far, I still have a lot to do to get it working but I think it would be hilarious. I also thought about using that idea except the ewoks on conquered half the galaxy, and the other half has been conquered by a powerful Jawa empire. So which basic campaign idea sounds like the funniest?
Dude... I about spit my drink all over my screen when I read your idea...... cracks me up.  I guess if your campaigns seem to go "wacky or crazy" might as well take it to another level of craziness!    Many of my campaigns have their moments of humor and such, but i try to keep them on track... usually we laugh and move on with it.  I have been a GM for nearly 14 years or so.  I usually try to put them into situations that cause them to stay somewhat serious...but if they seem to be in a humerous mood....well I will toss in a few little things to satisfy their humor, but then I will rudely interupt with a bounty hunter ambush or whatever.
It's true that my game are wacky but that doesn't me there is no danger. I love to throw hilariously op enemies at my team, or have them pretend to be imperial customs looking for rebels in order the sneak aboard and steal a ship (they were pirates) on to find that the whole damn things is full of rebel soldiers. Crazy doesn't mean there is no tension.
Hi Niall, I like the halk Ewok/half Jawa Empire idea and have the players running 'missions' for both sides! Until they are discovered!? What side will they choose!?!?!?!!? HAHAHA I would love to join in the game as a player when you get this going, seems like my like my kind of games where humor is not the main theme, but very important to the RPing (btw, I've never played Edge of Empire xD)
Unfortunately I generally GM my games during the day EST on weekdays. That's good if your in europe but not so great for people in north america. Still I will let you know.
Fortunately (for me) I live in Argentina, so I'm UTC -03:00 and I think I could make it into your timeframes! =D  Anyways, just let me know if you have a spot open for Edge of the Empire, I would love to give it a try and thank you very much for your reply!
