GM: [OS] Off-Screen: This happened on the tail end of Striker's walk. He pushed to make things happen. Striker seeing the drone leave, thinks about taking the initiative but takes stock of his inventory and quickly realizes his life isn't worth risking. Just on the off shoot he can force Qing back. While regaining some confidence in his ability, as he leaves he thinks to himself... If only I could have taken out the three to begin with my first three shots, maybe things would have been different. The only constant in my life....training and experience will lead to success..... He heads out with a grin with his face, whistling a tune meant for departed allies Striker sent wildcard a text message on Qing's unused commlink, "Wasn't able to convince her to stay. Need to clean up, got a bit messy." GM: So this other call... to Mrs. Finley. How's that go down? "Who is this? Honey, I thought you were dead." Striker replies with a laugh, "Nope, I guess I'm like a AK-97. No matter how beat up I get I just keep firing away. Am not surprised word of my early demise reached you. How much have you heard about what happened? Would like to know how they say I died...." Striker having cleaned up and in a new set of clothes heads out again. While speaking with Mrs. Finley he just strolls away from the warehouse after locking up. Taking with him the shot gun and two of the pistols in a bag, hoping the deal goes his way. He heads towards the most secluded parts of town he's seen so far. GM: Well... nothing to lock up. The door was knocked off it's hinges. "Nothing." she answered, "I figure just part of life." Striker looks up at the sky with his other hand rubbing his temple, Does the world want me to be a bad guy or something? Save a troll, rewarded with a warehouse that has now become essentially a cave...great.Striker heads across to somewhere safe where he can keep an eye on the warehouse from afar. "Interesting. Well first, I have a partnership idea I want to propose to you. Well got some business opportunities coming your way, if your interested. One, thinking I might orchestrate a gang war, process might have already started tonight. What ever weapons that might be left laying on the ground, might happen to end up in your inventory, at no cost. Plus, I'm heading into the private sector, going to work for myself essentially. What ever goodies I come across on my work I'll hand over to you, you know me as soon as I get a proper SMG I don't really need anything else. You send me a bit of coin as a percentage on what ever you make on them, nothing too much I'll leave it up to you. If you can set up a the logistics as in drop off points, accountants, possibly some stash houses I'll see what I can do about getting the goods." "Short term deal I would like to make tonight; I have 500 credits, two fairly damaged light pistols that I fixed in terrible conditions trust me you'd be impressed, a severely damaged shotgun that I don't have the supplies or tools to fix. Taking into the consideration the previous business proposal, If you can equip may as well as I was when I was a company man or however much your willing to, I'd appreciate it." "I got some other things in the works, something with a "mega" sized reward. If your willing to work with me and if you have any faith in my abilities, a big payday is within my grasp." "Big payday? That is ambitious for a dead-man, just now entering into the private sector from the grave." she chuckles, "It's not you, just the prospect." She pauses a little, but jumps right onto the subject at hand. "Getting you outfitted with starter equipment? Easy. Like how it was? That is a tall order. You should remember that I don't work on credit, and I am less of a betting woman on solo expeditions. Who's in your team?" She sounds like she is making notes on a digital display. "A gang war can't be the big score you are aiming for. That sounds personal." she decides, "Most gangs in this city are outfitted better. Better than you would be, without my help." She does some more work on the digital pad. "I appreciate the honesty in your bargain. My network wouldn't be willing to operate the way you like. There are people that deserve the respect they have worked for - earned, that live in this network. That kind of stake you claim, takes capital. Money you don't have, nor are you in any place to ask for it. So stick to the honesty through out the whole deal, not just part of it." she said calmly. "It could be worse. You could be somebody that owes 100k to the yakuza. That sort of debt... isn't really a death warrant, but it sure can invite a lot of pain and misery." she added. "Ambitions..." he laughs to, "Agreed, but I'm not in a position to aim for anything less. From the grave or otherwise, I'm going to take my shot." "The gang war is an opportunity that came about after some personal business, still am invested personally but pitting a few gangs against each other is an opportunity the mercenary side of me can't pass up. I'm not looking to be a partner right away, just want to be considered." "What ever you think is fair starting equipment for my initial pay and my effort for future opportunities. I'm not too greedy, but if I'm going to wage the campaign I want I'm going to need to be better outfitted." "Honesty...right now people want me dead. Common for a company man like myself, but a bit more serious than that. I'm working on turning that to my advantage. It will take time, but if I've proven anything in past few(however long he's been missing) is I don't die easy and I don't give up. To be completely honest, I'm not in a good place. I'm not sure who but someone managed to catch me and..well forced me to be a drugged pit fighter. The worst part..." he starts to gag remembering the smell...."I didn't escape, another group killed everyone. Professionals. I don't remember how I survived, but the mess they left.....makes me glad people in my line of work get in and out quick....." "Also I should mention that I plan on pitting Eye fivers on some West Shore Slayers who attacked me, partially out of revenge and to get them out of my hair. Plus, I'm planning on taking advantage of their conflict. I've come across some details of their conflict that should help me do this." "Whoa there young scatterbuck..." she cuts in, "That's getting us into personal territory, and that's not good for business." She tries to hear more from Striker, and then read his emotional state. "Listen good to this advice!" she starts, "You best be staying out of the gasoline to fire business. That wasn't how you operated back last year, and I don't believe that is a healthy way to go now. Get on a street crew. Work to see what shakes loose. Going all Lobo here is the worse thing for a person like you. Many have tried, but it has ended poorly for them. One man can not be a catalyst between two street roving empires like them." She lets the words cool a little, then started back in on heating the forge. "You are lost. I can understand that. Whatever happened, you survived. Doesn't matter what it was three months ago, three days ago, or 3 minutes ago." She takes another pause. "Move forward, or die. Pull yourself up, and quit distracting yourself." she finished "I plan to.....maybe your right....its been a busy night. Needless to say, I have plans. Will take my time...I do have a prospective cool, so one step ahead of you there." "Still would like to pick up some gear tonight, if you have anything available. Would sleep better knowing I had some proper hardware, plus I really want these guns to go to someone who can fix them. Its a real shame how amateurs treat these things," he kind looks down the sight of the shotgun and shakes his head. He probably sounded anxious before, he didn't like being in a position of being the prey, he wanted to be the hunter. Her word's definitely calmed him down, the feel of the gun although broken gave him confidence. Where he was, he was probably leaning against the wall, turning the lighter on and off in the darkness. A grin, probably came over his face, at least no more surprises should happen tonight. Hopefully the other two get a job, we do the job. Get some weapon, possibly some resources. Nothing really surprising should happen. At least my immediate future is clear
