LFG Eclipse Phase

Been reading trow it recently and was wondering does any group need another player for, or does any one want to strat a group for it.

I'm in.

I'm up for joining if you don't mind that I am rather new to table top rpgs. Eclipse Phase is actually what first got me interested in rpgs and I think the lore in it is pretty awesome.

Well so we have a group together now. So would any one be willing to DM?

Hmm, finding a DM might not be easy since Eclipse Phase doesn't seem to be to popular, which is a shame since it is pretty cool. If I were more experienced I would offer to, but I don't think I could DM well as I am right now. By the way, I am Eastern Time Zone and am available most nights.

As well am new to the system and as such would prefer not to DM would any one be opposed to rotating the dm perhaps? If we carnt get a full dm.

I really don't want to spoil myself on the system by reading through the DM section of the book at this point to be honest.

If you all are up for a casual game, I'm willing to learn how to GM. I own the book, but interest never really caught on at my in-person table. I'm used to DMing 4e and Pathfinder - but would need some time to get the hang of a completely different system, and would require players who are patient while I figure out what the hell I'm doing. 

Hey Brian, that sounds great. I can't speak for anyone else, but I am more then willing to do casual games and I certainly don't mind if you need to take your time to learn the system--I tend to be pretty patient.

A casual game sounds pretty good and i think we would all be learning the system so it sounds perfect.

Just be prepared to make up a couple of rules as you go. There's no real coverage for some in the book, such as reasons why you can't just run right past a guy, then go up behind him, and knock him back (or then: forward) toward your friends because it doesn't really detail that there should be an attack of opportunity at that time. Also no rules at all for how to attack/fire into a grapple/one of the parties involved in a grapple. As a DM and a player you know you couldn't just run past a dude, but you pretty much have to houserule a couple things like that to provide consistency.

How viable are the hacker types?

Well then, now that we have players and a DM, should we get together over Skype or something and introduce ourselves and discuss what we want out of the game and etc.? I am available any time this Friday, Saturday, or Sunday if any of those days will work for a quick get together.

SkypeId: longesway I'm online most of the time. I'm available this Saturday. My time is GMT +4, and evenings would be preferable :D But I can compromise.

Just have the DM make a posting for the game on the App and add everyone here. That way we'll have an internal board visible to approved players to put up Skype etc.

All sunday, some sunday, and all of friday but a few hours for me.

How's it looking in regards to maybe having a get together this Saturday to talk about what we want out of the game? Haven't seen much activity here and no game yet to my knowledge.

Is this game still open? I have an Eclipse Phase character just sitting around from a false start several months ago. I really like the setting though.

Yes and No. We never heard back from Brian, but we got together with everyone else and tried to find a time slot via Doodle and everything, but could only get 3 out of 4 together. If you're close to a  European timezone or eastward from there and have time on Fridays/Saturdays there might be a chance, though we'd still be DMless or would have to rotate it. If you think that'll work for you, you or anyone else reading, especially interested DMs, can send me a PM.
