Horizontal Scroll Bar and Map Placement

August 30 (12 years ago)
Hello,

I GMed a game last night and want to complement you on all the improvements you have made. Well done! The voice interface worked quite well, so we did not have to use Skype last night. The 3D dice were a huge hit!! Great improvement! I did notice two problems though.

PROBLEM #1: Missing Horizontal Scroll Bar

Detailed Description of the Problem...
I have noticed that the horizontal scroll bar on the bottom of the map page does not show up on my screen. This problem does not occur immediately after I launch my campaign, but only after I minimize or resize my browser screen. At first I thought the scroll bar was missing, but it is still there, just inaccessible.

Steps to Reproduce the Problem...
Launch a campaign. Minimize the browser. Maximize the browser.

PROBLEM #2: Map Placement

Detailed Description of the Problem...
If the scale is not set to 100% when drag-and-dropping a map onto the map layer, the map comes in shrunken in size. (I made maps that are exactly the right size too.) For example, if I dragged a map in at 100% (say 20 by 10 squares and 1400 by 700 pixels) it would pop on and I would just have to slide it into place. (Note: It would be nice if it defaulted to the top left-hand corner too.) If I dragged the exact same map on to the exact same page, but the scale was at 40% (or whatever), I would have to stretch the map first and then slide it into place.

Steps to Reproduce the Problem...
Set scale to 40%. Drag a map on to the map layer.

RE Problem #1...
It was not the Minimize button, but rather the Restore Down button (the one in the middle at the top right).

Thanks for the heads up! We will look in to both issues. And I'm glad you were able to have a fun, successful game!

Just out of curiosity, were you using the 3D Dice for the whole session? Did they work well (e.g. no rendering issues) the whole time? It's a new feature so we're looking for all the specific feedback we can get on it...

We used 3D dice the whole time. There were a couple of instances of stuttering that I noticed. But other than that it worked fine. I liked the interface too (the added item on the side menu). It would be nice to put macros in the dice interface. I think I would prefer that to Last 10 Rolls.

I think I would want the dice to stay on the screen a bit longer too.
