Call for Translators!

We've been very pleasantly surprised to find that nearly 40% of all the vistors to Roll20 at this point are coming from outside the United States. To support these users (and encourage international adoption), we've decided to begin the process of translating the site and app into multiple languages. This won't happen all at once, it will be an ongoing process, but we want to get the ball rolling now. We need the help of the community to make this happen! If you are an international user and feel comfortable offering your services as a translator, please reply to this thread and let us know so that we can start compiling a list of users who will aid in the process. Based on our web traffic, we are particularly interested in the following languages: Spanish German Portuguese French Polish Italian If your language is not on the list we are still interested! Those are just the ones that represent significant portions of our user base right now. Thanks in advance for your assistance, your fellow players thank you as well :-)

Thanks for all the volunteers! To answer the question as far as "how much is there", we're going to do it gradually. So we'll start with the main site outside the app, then do the in-app stuff. We'll prioritize short words/phrases that are commonly used first, then move on to the longer explanations. Eventually it would be great to get the Help Docs translated as well, but that's a very long-term goal. But if you can contribute at all, it's much appreciated -- some translation is better than none! I'll be in touch with all of you to explain how the process will work soon.

Thanks for volunteering, everyone! Some of the languages (German, French, Portuguese) have already been translated (for what we have available to translate) at this point. I've sent a few more invitations out as well. For those of you who volunteered for a language we already have covered, I will keep you on a list if for some reason the person who originally volunteered is unable to complete the project. Thanks!
