[Help] Importing / Exporting sheets

Hello, I saw a thread about this from a couple years ago but am just wondering at the progress. I would really love to be able to export my character sheet to either XML or HTML, modify it locally and import the sheet back into roll20. Is this possible? Going to happen in the future? Thanks.

Character sheets are already HTML and CSS. If you have a Pro subscribption, you can select "Custom" as your character sheet for your campaign and create your own, or use a modified version of an existing sheet. The code for all of the existing sheets can be found at&nbsp;<a href="https://github.com/Roll20/roll20-character-sheets" rel="nofollow">https://github.com/Roll20/roll20-character-sheets</a>
Ah, so I need a Pro subscription is what you're saying?
Not sure I have $100/year to spend for custom character sheets :-P
You can submit sheets for use to github without having a pro account. &nbsp; You would just need some kind of local viewer insure everything works properly. &nbsp;Brian knows how to do this, but I do not. &nbsp;Easier for me just to pay the Pro fee and do it that way.
Just to clarify. Are you talking about exporting and importing a filled out character sheet?
missionz3r0, yes that's what I was looking for. It's turning out though just using the site is proving to be sufficient. I'm keeping a more detailed account of things in another doc until I find a way to integrate it all into the online sheet.

There is no good &nbsp;way the edit sheets outside of Roll20, especially if you want to incorporate repeating sections or autocalc fields. There are options that can approximate the results of the preview tab, but for many sheets that's simply not enough. josh said: missionz3r0, yes that's what I was looking for. If you're looking to save characters &nbsp;from one campaign and import them into a different campaign (as opposed to making custom character sheets), the Character Vault feature can do that, which comes with the Plus subscription rather than Pro. The GM of the campaign you're importing into must enable imports.
Thanks for all the replies. I was really just being a bit paranoid. In my day-to-day life I don't leave any files that I don't want to lose in a location I don't have control of. Clearly I don't want to lose all the data stored in this character sheet so I was really just hoping to have a way to keep it local. Just in case something wild and unforeseen happens to the site :-O
