Oh btw Derek! Your mention of Silaka reminded me of something that might help you. Minor illusion can only be used to make an unmoving image or a sound. (only illusion wizards can do two both parts in one cast) Since a round takes about 6 seconds its kinda useless for moving disguises. However, since she is a warlock she can take the misty visions invocation which gives at-will "silent image". That would give you the effect I think you want for Silaka. Just keep in mind that it requires you to keep concentration to maintain it, and you have to spend an action every turn to keep the image moving so doing things while disguised will be tricky. You can also only move within a 15ft cube per cast of the spell. You can recast it for free, but only once every action/round. In other words if you are continuously moving forward you a gonna have to walk rather slowly and disguise the fact that you are casting a spell every few seconds. So yeah... it has quite a lot of drawbacks and weaknesses (its only a lv1 spell), but at least it will allow you to do want you need and the flaws in it provide good roleplay opportunities. OOC Jann has this invocation along with eldritch sight and its the spell he used to disguise Skelly. All of the drawbacks I mentioned are why Jann hid himself beneath an illusory top-hat above Skelly's head. (I admit that I was actually a little reluctant to mention this stuff because it likely would cause you to have the same exact invocations as Jann, but if it works for her, it works)
