AT LAST, A CHICKEN CHARACTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All jokes aside this was a pretty fun session ^^ So the crew bought another bar (In the iron kingdom this time) and introduced our chook (played gloriously by Reddyy), Magnus, the Iron Golem and Finnian, a rather kleptomanic elf. Together they had a fun time with usual shenanigans (Lucius wanting everyone dead, Nala being voice of reason, Silaka hitting on everything that moves) until they heard Scuttling in the basement. When they investigated they found a hole. In said hole was their guide, Al the Thri-Ranx (Think a big humanoid insect) Mid way someone tried to start a fight, but ended up paying the price of STFU, Al accidentally bitch slapped a crow and told Silaka to shove it. Getting on with things he transported Nala, Jann and Egg-ster to the dungeon they needed to go to next, as told by Sheela. The others had to suck up and walk while Nala got a sweet AF ride on Al's back through his underground tunnels (No, that's not sexual). When they arrived they came to a massive room and had to answer 3 riddles. 2 were easy enough and one was admittedly too hard, so I let them off. Then Reddyy (out of character) told us a ball-buster one that held up the game. So help me god if he doesn't get smited IRL.... Anyway, the riddles were done and the party was reunited for a fight....against a beholder! FIGHT!! The battle was long and arduous, taking many turns. Nala had to bug out at the start, so said beast was brought down by the others after (not in order): Several magic attacks + arrows Some slashes to the flanks Finnian hiding his head in a chopped off eye-stalk Brazo hitting it with his cannon, KOing himself in the process Magnus pulling the sap's eye out with his bare hands Jann busting a bit of the ceiling on its head Al and Lucius pinning it down while Magnus did this for the finishing blow: https://youtu.be/mQD2w4HU3jw?t=27s They were all awarded 1500exp for their bravery and combat expertise, as well as 20 GP and some rare items for the newer players

Does Derick really get exp for both his characters AND magical items for each? Wasn't the entire purpose of using Silaka to avoid making the op cannon character more op? Instead it seems we ended up with Derick in complete control of two characters. I know Brazo was in "passive" mode, but he alone ended up nabbing more screen time than some of the actual players. And I disagree Derick, Brazo is very op. A 9th lvl meteor rain or disintegrate spell don't even deal 187 damage to an enemy. And at lv 4 all you character had to do was use up an auto damage block, have an ally use "aid another" on you, and spend a single turn getting back on your feet to recover from said attack. I actually think you somehow came off the attack with even more hp due to your auto block ability. also: 1d337 almost spells 1337. I couldn't help but find this hilarious.

And yes derrick, brazo is very op. A 9th lvl meteor rain doesnt even deal 187 damage to an enemy. And at lv 4 all you character had to do was use up an auto damage block, and spend a turn getting back on your feet to recover from said attack. No really, don't stop Aubrey. Brazo can't be hit by anything but crits at this rate, can one shot everyone else and is proving very meta-breaking. And I did say what the reward was, with nothing to do with rare drops. To put it bluntly, I think Brazo needed to go, and if a beholder couldn't do it fuck if I know what can. I like the whole quirk things about his character and backstory yes, his multiple personalities are a fucking joy to roleplay with and the thought of him carrying the team on his back is hilarious. But as far as flying, dishing out 100+ damage, SURVIVING 100+ damage (I got a-level physics, I know my momentumz) and having an AC that would make creatures only susceptible to crits cry needs nerfs. ALL of the nerfs Silaka is fine, she can stay with no repercussions as the seductive, funny, quirky stone she is. But for the sake of not making this game broken I recommend Brazo doing one of 3 things: 1. Kill him off somehow 2. Nerf his stats so he doesn't deal and take trucks of damage (AC, abilities ect) 3. Make him a cart. I like this option best as A. He can still talk and interact interestingly, B. Acts as a storage box for unneeded loot and C. Can be used as a once per day maybe super-cannon if things get really rough, but ONLY as a cannon. Essentially a talking cannon on legs, which is fair me thinks

I couldn't help but find this hilarious. the 1337 was on perpos i pointed that out hence i said 1d337 not 337. the only reason the block damage was allowed was magnus was assisting if not i would have been downed and if i rolled poorly killed. i also asked if he wanted to play brazo or even have him take part. the reason for the massive hp pool of the beholder was brazo. im also a very dominant player i play my charactor ans silaka would try to be the center of attion the entire time as 2/3 she rolled 1 thats why there was not rp during the boss fight. i did have more hp but with a char with so little hp it was needed as if not i would be oneshot by anything(as in dead since he would do the remaining then = to total). i'd accept making brazo and boss only char as he is asicaly a burst mage 3 turns of insain damage then almost certainly a sitting duck
Aubrey H. said: also: 1d337 almost spells 1337. I couldn't help but find this hilarious. hue =P The dX is actually the custom cannon roll. Basically X is the target's remaining health. Brazo then takes the result divided by 10 (Say, roll d200, he hits 120. Creature takes 120 damage and goes to 80HP, no matter its max health, and Brazo takes 12 recoil damage. If it is lethal Brazo is outa commission for 1 week in game (which funny enough the time-frame has only been 5 days so far, us being on day 5))

I gotta admit, I feel like on top of being OP your turns took by far the longest, AND even when it wasn't your turn you always tried to put in your own 2 cents even when it went directly against the DM who is supposed to run the show. I just feel like you gotta take it down a notch.

I wouldn't say your the only one who feels that way Reddyy/Josh. Btw, Derek I also have adhd and can understand how it can be difficult to control yourself. However, the way you are saying it makes it sound like you CAN'T control yourself. Which I know from personal experience is not true. People with adhd have an uphill slope, but its never an impossible climb and can be done without medicine. If you are asking us to be understanding if you stumble along the climb its fine, but it sounds like you intend to continue being "dominant" and want us to just suck it up and sit in the background. I'm just not sure how I feel about that. :/ Lastly, from one inattentive person to another, try this out if you ever really need to study: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEHVz5XCmBs.
I'm just concerned about how Brazo wasn't gonna break the game, I feel like this conversation got odd quick ._.

Hmm... yeah. I've given my two cents and I think I'll be hopping off this conversation track before it can go any further. ^^; Um, so GM. Changing topics a bit, did Jann just level part of the upper floor or is the dungeon crumbling to the ground now that I killed that one pillar. Also, did we need that dungeon for anything else? You know, for hypotheticals and stuff.

I'm imagining it as some sort of mock dugeon that is regularly used to test for budding heros now... This is totally just head cannon, but I'm imagining a band of young eager adventurers heading up a mountain trail to the dungeon now. As they near the peak the see our team emerge from around a corner, blood slick on our armor, black shades hiding our eyes, and a beholder's eye hovering over our shoulders. An explosion sounds in the distance and part of the mountain implodes in on itself behind us just as the entire party comes into view. Of course thats just headcannon as I said. Except the shades and beholder eye. Jann is totally giving everyone shades as the dungeon collapses. An illusory duster for Magnus too.

Edited 1439927377
A duster coat, you say? (And not that other duster. There is no way Magnus is willing to clean that mess. In fact he would probably make it worse.) Magnus does wear a brown cloak, which is the next closest thing to duster coat. Giving him a duster, trench or whatever long coat would make him look like Sundowner from MGR: Revengeance "Like the good ol' days after 9/11!"
