Chat History stopped loading will crash all browsers.

Both myself and my other players are affected in our ongoing campaign. I really don't want to delete the chat history if possible, we all enjoy reading it ocassionally and its accessible to new players.

Large chat archives may be difficult to access on some computers. You could help change that by voting and voicing your support for this related suggestion .

As Silvyre says, large chat archives can be difficult for some computers to render because they're so large. Especially those with lots of rolls from roll templates or from character sheets that often have complex rolls with lots of attributes and returns.
I got a high end gaming PC, should it still be a problem?
It's not an issue of overall system resources, but rather how much data your actual browser program can load at one time. Most browsers will crash when trying to load too much information. The best I've seen at this is Firefox... you'll get a few "script is processing for a long time, do you want to continue" prompts, but it will eventually load all of it without crashing. I've pulled up 1,500 pages worth of chat log for a 1.5 year game in Firefox before where other browsers die in the attempt.
