Interest Check: The Purge - A FATE One-Shot

Any interest in a one-shot based on the movie series The Purge ? I don't want to develop one if there is no interest. The plot for the one-shot would be improvised. The players would decide if they want to Purge. If you want to Purge then the group would decide who would they want to Purge against. If you decide not to Purge, then we would improv an opponent that wants to Purge you and you would have to struggle to survive.
I loved that movie.  The second one was alright. You want to do it on a Sunday so we can invite some European players?
Ill be okay for a purge one shot, im not familiar with fate too much but im a fast learner.
It's the opposite for me; Experienced with Fate, not heard of the movie. Would be up for this time permitting.
Ian F. The Purge is a Dystopian Sci Fi thriller where the United States decided to make one day a year a day where all crime (Including murder, burglary, and the like) is legal. The whole theory is that if the states let the populace vent themselves and allow them to commit violent acts then they will be less inclined to do so, its kind of like how when your dad catches you smoking and makes you smoke a whole carton so you hate the stuff and dont ever want to do it again.
Ah, okay. Well that setting doesn't appeal to me at all . I will give it a miss.
I'd be interested in this, though I've never played FATE before.
The Purge wasn't a dystopian setting at all, and it wasn't to allow people to "vent" their criminal instincts.  The ACTUAL theory behind The Purge is to have one night every year where all crime is legal (including murder) with some restrictions on the level of firearms you're allowed to use, and during that night, all the less desirable's in society like the homeless and the unemployed people on welfare are targeted to be killed.  By doing this every year, the United States has been able to keep it's homeless and unemployment rate under 1 percent, leading to a booming economy.

Whoa. That got political.

Don't forget that it drastically lowered the crime rate because everyone would wait for that one night to commit any crimes.
Sorry guess i didnt get that part from the film, sorry
Rereading what I posted, it sounds a bit dickish in tone.  I didn't mean for it to be.  That's the problem of lack of tone via text.  Classic problem when it comes to texts with girlfriends as well :D
Well i didnt mean to scare off a potential player sorry, i know what you are talking about though.
I'm sure you didn't mean anything dickish by implying that society would be better off by exterminating their homeless and unemployed on welfare! :D Get rid of the illegal immigrants too, am I right?
If I could commit one crime during the Purge, it'd be Perjury
@rainspirit he was explaining the actual thought process behind it, not endorsing it. Not sure how serious your comment was, but I hope it's satire :)
