Aligned Maps

Is there a way to have two maps align so that tokens can be switched between them and stay at the same location? I have a spirit world in my game that some characters can step into and out of, but spatial relationships line up so that characters can step into the other map, walk 10 meters and step back out on the other side of a 10 meter barricade, for example. This will be being used with tactical combats going on on both sides. The ability to either have two terrain layers and toggle the visibility of them for specific players or to move tokens between maps so that they stay in the same place on the maps would be very useful. Thanks.

There is a few different ways to do it. One way is to have two maps that are almost identical. Have one under the other and you just right click on the map (be on the appropriate layer also) and choose "to the back" for that map when you wish or need to change it. This works good for solo character sessions unless the whole group shifts A second way is just to have two different map pages and switch between them as needed. You can move figures on each map individually or use an API script (pro subscriber feature) if there is one written.
The second sounds good to me. Is there a way to get the characters to land on the corresponding hex with/without the API script or do I have to figure that out manually each time? I'm thinking I want to subscribe but as I haven't played a session yet, I want to wait until I see if the service works for my group and I first, so I haven't yet.

I think the best shot to get the proper answer is to head over to the API forum and explain what you need the script to do. Those guys/girls are wizards at scripting.

If you do decide to go Pro I would check out the script Aaron put together for  this request . I believe it would allow you to have the set up you desire (the spirit world on a separate page but pretty much identical to the main game page that is active for all the players) and allow you to keep the tokens in the same relative space across the pages. Then you could simply drag individual player avatars to the spirit page and they could continue their movement there... which should then follow through to the main page for when they come back again?
Thanks, both of you. Sounds great.
