In my experiences as a player in Google+ games, generally the GM will send you a hangout link and you use that link to join the game on game-day, while for between-games tasks the players use just Roll20 for logging into the game (without Google+ being involved). This advice is likely coming too late for your game today, but I'm hoping that your GM was able to assist you to get into today's session. We'll be happy to help you troubleshoot things, but we'll need more information, such as were you able to login to the game via the Hangout link from your GM?
