What sort of style do you go for when map building?

Do you go for the realistic, hard-to-do style that is reminiscent of Balder's Gate ? Or do you go for the more cartoony style that people like Devin Night create? Personally I go for the uber realistic style. It just looks better. But this has ended up demanding a lot of work from me but I think the quality of the maps I have made are well worth it!
Cartoony for me. But, it comes naturally. And lately, what I would call Old Style mapping. http://toybox-sw.blogspot.be/search/label/Maps
Those look like blueprints Patrick, very nice.
The Sketchy doodle post you linked is awesome Patrick. I really like the look and feel of that.
Thanks, I have been making some maps and tokens recently, I should post them soon.
I am the lead of a group of gamers that are developing real-life , high quality miniatures terrain and other gaming aides. That said, we would like to start putting out free and paid content in the market place in many different styles and settings. We are also working on a publication that will include assets that you would be able you use in roll20.
@Jeremy I love people like you :D The marketplace needs more realistic items.
