I was wanting to try out the L5R system and setting if there are any games happening or if someone wants to put one together. Got a bit of free time this week and next. It looked interesting

The trick is L5R is cool as long as it does not devolve into D&D with samurai swords, and is also trading a fine line between Flavor and  "Who can speak better Japanese or know the culture more" macho contest.  I have been in both bad kinds and those don't last. So, which edition? 3rd? What time zone? what times within that zone?

I have the books for 4e L5R, on eastern time. Schedule is pretty open I can do that. Read through the core book a while ago and skimmed some of the others. But i have no idea what the difference between editions is, but I feel your pain with minmaxers and with setting lawyers.

I'd love to join L5R game never tried it, but something I wanted to try, got 4ed book recently. Would be able to join the 11pm (EST) game, earlier is too early for me:)
