s1 e6 - Falconry is Serious Business At the aviary along the edge of Rotting Blade, Feng's animal handling and rituals earned him the respect of the lead vet who vouched for the team to talk to the Avian Master overseeing the town's falconry obsession. After some quick conversation, the Master lets Loper train under him for the next 3 days to be combat ready against the adolescent wyvern bred by Graal the Rage and his team of add ons representing Varias. With Loper preoccupied, the team takes the Sheriff's advice and pals up with Vid for some scurrying around town-- using psioneyes with skrillex's corpse and around the scene of his death, the team has a visual of the Athasian dwarf who's been killing with the pendants... aside from the defiling effect of his steps, his veins glow through his skin a dull red. This is a known disease on Athas called "the wasting" where the flesh eventually disintegrates and poltergeists follow the scent left by the victim's soul to be collected as a poltergeis thmselves. The death pendants he's been leaving may be linked to the hunting spirits of the disease... more needs to be investigated to know for certain... but with skrillex being looted, the dwarf likely has the knowledge of the Lost Chord directly now, and potentially will go away without further issues... The team reported this to Sheriff Grant to stay on the good side of the town ledger. burning some time before the falconry challenge, the team follows up with the Temple of the Devourer, buying a week to produce product to earn favor with them for establishing a line of production for the spirit sight potions. The team tangents to break into the magic shop to hunt for poison they can use in the upcoming fight with Graal's Wyvernand with JoGnome's help make quick work of the defenses and find a slew of different poisions they can use in the match.. str damage for the wyvern and some wisdom damage for Graal as well. They picked up 3 doses of Charisma poison and 2 unidentified potions as well. Day of the match the team does a great job poisoning Graal. Loper, Vid, and Maheva are the team of 3 versus Graal the ogre, Meri the Enchantress and a goblin blowdart sniper. It's a hella fight, and after cutting Graal down the wyvern loses resolve and control and retreats, flying to it's momma which scoops the baby and Graal up for safety. The sheriff decrees Loper's Hawk the winner, and the team successfully seizes the 6 farms for the city from Varias and earns favor from both the mayor and aviary of the town.
