[SW - EotE] Character Sheet Macros

September 21 (9 years ago)
Very much new to roll20, I'm not precisely sure whether this is the right section, but I suppose it's worth asking anyway!

I'm currently using the Edge of the Empire Character Sheet in my campaign as well as the API macro and as I understand it they are supposed to coexist in the sense that you can push the buttons on the sheet to roll the specified dice. Well, the API functions just fine, perfectly, in fact. I haven't had any problems. You enter the code, it shows you the dice and tells you the final result, saving a significant chunk of time over the course of a session that would be otherwise spent cancelling out the various results.

But, when I press the button on the character sheet, it just spews code in chat e.g.

"characterid(-jzhxivgwps8seus3j0k),label(skill:resilience),,encum(8|1),skill(3|3),,0g,0y,0p,0r,0b,0blk,0w,upgrade(ability|0),downgrade(proficiency|0),upgrade(difficulty|0),downgrade(challenge|0),(gmdice)" with no results nor images of the dice, nothing whatsoever.

However, when I enter an extra die in the little window next to the button, e.g. 1b, and press it, it still does not present any images of dice or (I imagine) results of the other dice in the Skill pool, but does show the result of the one die entered. It still spews code much like the above of course.

Any help, whether it be directing me to the appropriate forum or advice on how to fix this, would be much appreciated.

I'm going to shift this over to the Character Sheet forum for now.  If it's determined by the sheet creator to be a bug this post can be shifted back here at that time.

The creator for this sheet doesn't support it any longer, however, I've done some work with customizing it for my campaign, and haven't had any issues with it....I have seen others post that issue though, a long time ago. To start with, have you checked to make sure all the attributes affecting your roles have a value (even if it's 0)? Just make sure none of the numbers are an empty blank space.

For reference, I just tested Reslience on my sheet in my campaign and it worked normally, though my campaign is using my modified sheet/api script
