Session 14 Log (what I have of it)

We begin at home. We've been cleaning up and repairing sundry systems. Kyle's headed off to work at Lavastone Excavations. The guys escort me there, just to be safe. After I get to work, they head back and talk to Dr. Eye to ask for cameras to watch the clinic and fight club to keep an eye out for Drax. Eusyl is going to modify the cameras and the computer with chronocoms so we can see what's up. Joseph fixes Yaz up a bit from the last fight and I head to work. Yaz hangs out at the lair, catching the pings from the cameras when a bald Human crosses their path. Rod and I get fingerprinted boarding the tram and away we go. Kyle arrives at work and it appears to be a completely legitimate business. He starts maintaining the robots and machinery to get them back up to par. As Eusyl, Rod and Joseph are headed home, some guy brushes against Rod and makes a "forced sneeze", rather suspiciously. They follow him as he leaves the train at fair dome headed toward Glitter Dome. The guy notices the guys following him and he stops and asks why they're following him. With his coughing and sneezing, Joe scans him and finds out he has a pretty virulent disease. He tries to cure him but fails. Joseph tells him what's wrong with him and sends him to the hospital. Neither Eusyl, Joseph nor Rod catch the bug from him. They take him to the clinic and get him healed up at a charge of 60SGI. He asks if we have any employment opportunities and wants a job. Once he heals up, we'll make him our Assistant. When they get home, Yaz shows everyone Rodworth's bounty poster. He's insulted at the low reward and wants to see who was dumb enough to set this up. We grab the bum guy outside to have him call the number at the bottom of the poster. We use the poster of the dead dralasite and say it's Joseph. The lady on the other end took the picture as an initial proof, but she wants an identifiable chunk of physical proof. Joseph says it's doable and we're setting up the details. Rod calls our "terrorist" friends and offers to help find proof that they weren't responsible for the PanGal dome. If we find proof, we get an AirCar. We head off to the PanGal dome to look at the wreckage of the explosion, looking to see if we can get a clue. Rod couldn't find anything and neither could Joseph.
Wow, just dawned on me. If we leave Styrigia, we're going to have to sell off a ton of stuff. I wonder how much the people in the satellite are going to screw us on money exchange? No aircar, no lair, no workshop, no big green venomous dogs, nada. I want to leave, as Styrigia is a hole (well made world, but constantly looking over our shoulders is tiring). If we can get enough cash, we could set up a smaller office on a much more civilized world. Now, what do we do about our loans? Can we ignore the Styrigian authorities and dump off our Student Loans?  Should we just pay them off when we're leaving? We're going to need cash to get the ship fixed so we can leave. How can we cut out enough of the sundries so we don't have to dump half of our cash for everything we do?  If we make a huge score and we live in the same place, how do our costs always end up at 50% of our take? Thoughts?
