Editor stuck on loading screen

Hi, I would like to say thank you in advance. It seems to be quite a popular problem. I've followed steps 1, 2 and 3 and I've included the computer specs and have turned off all add-ons etc (only had adblock Plus) The main problem is a timeout issue? a warning popped up that I had issues with the server and advised I didn't do anything important but now I cant get back into the editor.
