Suggestion: Minimap

It is really common when the players login into an already loaded map page, that they don't know where they are.  It would be great, if you include a feature, a little panel (like turn order panel) where everybody sees a tiny version of the current showed map.
i like this idea. especially since my gm's love epic sized maps. if it could be toggled on or off that would be even more awesome. that way i could take a quick look at it to orient myself and then close it if need be.

What would really be cool if it was clickable also. If you see where you need to be and click on that spot in the minimap then it recenters itself on the main map. That would be cool.
+1
It would also be handy on a map using dynamic lighting or fog, as many times I've had players get lost while loading a map or scrolling between revealed areas and were the party is currently.

I wonder how much system resources would this require. We are discussing two maps that is interlocked together to reflect each other. That means if something is moved or changed on the main map the mini map would have to reflect that change and vice a versa.
Also if it allows you to see pings elsewhere on the map that you are not currently looking at directly.

But you know as well as I do that if it is offered then people are going to try to use and then complain about their computer choking on it but that is beside the point. This would be nice especially if you could enable it in per map page. This would allow you to select what is or isn't minimapped. I mean if we are going to ask for the the bells and whistles then lets go for the cathedral bells and fog horns.
