NewTutorial

Let me just say that even though I know my way around the Roll20 VTT, the tutorial has taught a thing or two still. But I did get stuck with the Decks part of it because when you're asked to show the deck on the VTT, it appears partly behind the tutorial's menu, making the step of clicking and dragging a card to the VTT imposible.

Cheers!

I had that problem too on a smaller screen, when I switched to a larger format screen it wasn't an issue. I will say that I had to go through the tutorial 5 times before I managed to get all the way through with out it hanging up at some point or another. If it could remember where we were when we quit it would help.

I had two stopping points so far.

One was on the fog of war section. I was able to reveal an area but when it wanted me to select to hide it again, the tutorial information was covering up the part of the menu and I couldn't select anything. I ended up using the keyboard shortcuts to get past it.

The second was in the audio section, where for me at least. After prompt to add more playlists, it just sort of stops and there doesn't seem to be prompt or way to continue the tutorial.

What resolution screen are you using? Also, what browser are you using? I went through that part fine on a 1920-1080 screen using Google Chrome. It could potentially be a scaling issue so letting me know will help me narrow it down.

On my small 15" screen it was at resolution 1360X768 when the cards were covered up, using Firefox.

I use different PCs (with different screen sizes) throughout the week depending on where I'm at. An easier solution might be to be able to move the Tutorial menu with click and drag or having minimize/open functions built into it.

But I'll get you the screen size/resolution when I'm back home.

Cheers!

My screen was at 1680x1050. I been using Chrome under the Linux OS (if that makes a difference). I don't think it does because I tried it under Chrome on my Windows work machine and had pretty similar results/.

Isn't the tutorial supposed to go away from your list of games once you've gone through it? I've done it twice now (gone through all the topics) but still the tutorial sits on my list of games.

It should, also, set an Achievement badge on your Profile telling that you completed the Tutorial.

I buzzed thru the tutorial a few times without actually following all the prompts to the letter.  Maybe you missed one...?

I've done the tutorial several times already, and yeah whenever I had problems with the tutorial menu not letting me do a certain step, I couldn't compelte that prompt in particular.

That's probably the real issue.  Hard to complete the tutorial if you can't access all the requirements...  ;-(
I successfully completed the tutorial using res 1920x1080 on win8.1 using Chrome(v. 46.0.2490.64 beta-m (64-bit))

I'm sure the Devs will come up with a fix.

I had some problems with it not recognising me having 'completed' it... I found that doing the last section and really nailing it got the system to recognise that it was complete.

I'll take a look into it and manually set my screen to a lower resolution to try to replicate it.

Thank you for this! I finally got the tutorial out of my games list.

@Andres, Are you still having issues with the tutorial?

Hi Ryan,

I was able to complete it by going back to the last steps, so I was able to get it completed but can't say if the menu is still blocking some of the steps. I'll give it another go over the weekend and let you know. Thanks!

Sounds good. We are still actively working on the tutorial so if you notice anything, let us know!
