Playing from Multiple Playlists

EDIT: I posted this because I wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong or if there was another way to go about it, didn't mean for it to be a suggestion. Now I'm in the wrong forum. This seems too mundane to be a suggestion, but I've made a similar post in the thread for playlists on the Pro forum.

The jukebox seems to stop other tracks/playlists when I play a new playlist or track outside of a playlist. I'm only able to play multiple tracks simultaneously from the same playlist. Is this how it was intended to work?

I had nearly finished setting up music/soundscape playlists and want to be able to use them together. ex: Ongoing background ambience tracks + shuffled sound effects playlists (depending on setting) + shuffled music playlist (depending on mood). Was really hoping this would work but it doesn't seem possible?

That would be nice

True, stumbled upon the same problem.
Would be nice it it where possible to make a folder where background sound is in a loop, while music from a different playlist is shuffled.

Same here.  I want to have Star Wars battle music looping in the background, then be able to trigger the sound of tie fighters roaring by and shooting their blasters.  Having the music stop when I trigger the sound effects is a real frustration to me.

Don't get me wrong- I do appreciate the changes that were made.  It just needs to be tweaked for a bit more flexibility, is all I'm saying.
Agreed. This used to be the case. Not anymore. Saddening.

I would run a cavern/cave ambient sound and then play sounds of rocks being scuffled to simulate a random encouter being noticed ahead of attack.

I would play a city street ambient sound, the play a church bell in time if crisis. Horse hoove clops as one passed by.
I no longer have this ability, so I merely use it as an mp3 player when I am working on maps or designing things. Not for the game, which is really what I think it was intended for.

Just came here to say '+1'. Wanted to have rain + thunder loop + nice noir jazz music playlist. Not gonna happen *single tear running down my cheek*.

I have had no problem using it, the folders allow me to organize all of my sounds for a game instead of using strange alphabetizing routines. It is not perfect, but I find it easier to find my stuff, I have hundreds of sounds and it took me several minutes to find some things.

Currently My only solution to this is to not use the play lists and keep everything under a single Playlist that I need for that session.
