Synovia after the visit w/ Kendra

After watching a broken Kendra led away, A sobbing Synovia turns and walks out of the Sanatorium ignoring any conversation that takes place. She collapses on the steps and continues to sob. After a few minutes the sobs subside and she is left with feeling of guilt for not doing more to help Kendra, sadness for the the brokenness of a strong woman brought low by circumstances no one was prepared for, fear for herself as she too, is beginning to doubt her own capacity to handle the current evil and finally anger at the cause of this evil(whatever that maybe) and the leaders and citizens of Sandpoint that let their Mayor down.  On the trip back, she is lost in her own thoughts of how to move forward. Whatever this evil is interested in her, she wonders if she should just give it what it wants. If she does, maybe it will leave her family and friends alone?  Maybe she should just give in to the wanderer's voice inside that has been screaming at her to run?  She knows that she can not do the later, for that would be signing the death warrants of her family, friends, and town. The former she strongly believes won't work, as she suspects that she would be used as a tool against Sandpoint and it's citizens. So, the only option left is to fight. She knows that this will be not only a test of physical strength, but also a spiritual and mental one. As she reaches the city a plan is beginning to form.
The dusty desolate flat Habe's Sanatorium sits on holds little offering for life, perhaps ironically, given his mission. Still, bits of scrub and weed hold on tightly to their purchase of land. And a few paces away watching the retreating back of Synovia a butterfly lands on a bent and drying piece of foliage, it's wings slowly wave up and down like a labored bellow. The tops of it's wings are bright blue traced in black and spotted white  at the scalloped edges. It flies away in its own time.
ok, great, Syn is now being stalked by killer butterflies
