Couple Macro/Roll questions

Hey folks, I'm looking to take advantage of the macro system and I have an imagined version of what I want to do but there's a couple things stopping me... Here's my current macro for reference: /em swings his mighty battle ax! [[3d6+@{Harthome|Fighting}+1]] ?{Does it hit?|Yes, em Harthome swings with deadly accuracy: Damage=[[2d6+@{Harthome|Strength}+1+2]]|No, em Harthome flails at his opponent but to no avail...} I want to show the results of the first roll (attack test) in the chat, before the question shows up. The answer to that question is based on the roll. I want to ask the GM the question, as he is the one with the enemy sheets and really the only one who can answer it. (He's using paper sheets for enemies, so I can't reference enemy attributes.) I want the question results to start with emote commands, but they don't seem to work in this block. Is there a escape character that I can use to run them inline? I'd appreciate any help I can get on this, or even links to posts I couldn't find whilst searching. Thanks, Brad S.
The Macro system isn't capable of true  if/then/else logic to choose to display something or not. You'd have to break it out into two separate macros; one for attack, one for damage.

You could use API Command Buttons to more or less accomplish this. /em swings his mighty battle ax! [[3d6+@{Harthome|Fighting}+1]] /w gm [Success](!
/emas Harthome swings with deadly accuracy: Damage=[[2d6+@{Harthome|Strength}+1+2]]) [Failure](!
/emas Harthome flails at his opponent but to no avail...)

I see what you mean, Mark G. . I think I was too used to full languages I didn't see the limitations. Thanks!
