Here goes, I have not posted here until now and I
hope this is the right forum.
I have a
long history in gaming as well as real world experience in the martial area of
life.
What I would like to get from those of you
interested in helping are some ideas on tweaking the pathfinder rules to modern
small arms,survival and knowledge use, along with some class changes in skills.
Let me give you a quick look at the game concept;
The world one year from now after a short global
conflict. The startup has a mid-eastern country with limited nuclear
capability, twelve warheads after a deal with country trades oil for launch vehicles
that can reach out and touch anywhere. They do so but with a different approach
they have the warhead detonate at two hundred miles above the intended targets
countries. One above North America one above South America and the rest spread
over the West and eastern northern powers, the result are EMPs that knock out all electronics nearly worldwide.
This is followed by the target countries with
less than one hour of response time and those with navel submerged assets launching
attacks at the predetermined targets that they feel cannot be allowed to maintain
a strong military capability.
Result is Armageddon. Now the little fantasy
twist, with all that power unleashed a change takes place it is very, very slow
to exhibit itself but certain people start to have powers that until then were
only in the books by Token and similar. (Oh yeah and a number of other races
start to cross over)
Ok Now just how do I get that to work?
Please no other rules systems, I am not against
them (I have played nearly all at one time or another) it is just I have my
Kids (30’s and 40’s) and grandkids playing Pathfinder and do not want to get to
far away form that system. Other than that any and all suggestions would be appreciated.
