Hi, new player to the group here - I've read the How To: Ashlands, (which I'll answer below) and I can see you've a decent length game running. How does this generally work with setting up games given the numbers you ideally want for a game? I'm guessing from what I've read of TB you really wouldn't want more than 5+GM else the grind starts happening to the players and not just the characters. I've done the full char gen for my concept, but I'm not going to argue if you like to make sure people don't min-max/horseshit on their first character (which I assume is why pre-gens for first go?) Either way, Hamis [ha-MEEZ] was intended as an unintentional cliche of the halfling burglar sort. As much as he tries and tries, he just seems more and more like a halfling out of his element (which really irritates him when it's pointed out). A much better cook than he is a thief, yet his wanderlust calls him to adventure and pilfer from those who won't go hungry should something go missing. Initial thoughts on belief and instinct below, feedback welcome: I've read the book, but haven't played yet so I don't know how well either of these would be to judge in play. Belief: "Nobody should have to starve, poverty be damned." Instinct: "Always have a route out." I'm on GMT btw, so postings may be at odd times for y'all.
