Dead units

Okay, so, I'm trying to make it where units with an X on them go to the Map and background layer, but... they won't keep the X(I want them to stay there for static reasons, but allow units to move over them without me selecting the dead guys. Any way to do this, like to lock them to the map so I can't move them?

There is a community-created API called "Map-Lock" that can lock any element in-place, on any layer. Using the API is a Pro subscriber perk. API wiki docs, <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/API:Introduction" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/API:Introduction</a> API Script "Map-Lock", <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Script:Map_Lock" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Script:Map_Lock</a> I've used this API script before myself, and I see how it could work for your purposes. Once your game has Map-Lock API installed, you just type !map-lock lock in the chatroom with that token selected, and it becomes locked in place (and your other units can move over/under it). Since you would be doing it frequently for your purposes, you can create a macro-button that makes the&nbsp; !map-lock lock into a single button-click on your quick bar. Once that's set up you would just click the X token, and click your map-lock quickbar button. For a non-API way.. you could create the "X" in a different way, not a Token status x, and continue your idea to move it to Map layer. 2 ideas are: Use the Roll20 Drawing Tool and draw the X, (draw it once and copy-paste more X's), and this X can be moved to Map/Background layer and remains visible. Wiki Docs:&nbsp; <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Drawing_Tools" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Drawing_Tools</a> Or obtain or create an "X" token with transparency, and possibly group it with the X'd-out token underneath, and move the Group to the Map layer.
Ah alright, and is there a way to have units follow a waypoint automatically? like "fly" in circles?

Yes, General! The built-in Waypoints feature (The token follows a path, however, it is not a looping repeating path but is a one-time stroll). Waypoints wiki docs, <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Manipulating_Graphics#Wayp" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Manipulating_Graphics#Wayp</a>... For a sophisticated API method (Pro subscriber perk), there is the community API script called Token Path, <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Script:Token_Path" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Script:Token_Path</a> I believe that API method could be used for something like setting a bird to continually fly a certain path in circles.
Maybe it's just me, but that "tutorial" on the wiki makes no sense...&nbsp; I hold Space(I even just clicked it to make sure) and I don't see the unit move anywhere, it's just where I last placed it and pressing space just makes it get brighter.

I will work on improving the Wiki wording. Thanks for pointing that out. I see what you mean. The waypoints technique was taught to me by another player, and he explained, hold the mouse button and Double-tap spacebar to begin the process. Continue holding the mouse button while moving to another point and press spacebar again (Repeat this sentence).&nbsp; It looks like the wiki needs to have " doubletap spacebar" added to the text. Want to test it and see if this explanation works for you, General?
Does not work I don't think? because with how Wiki explains(and how I ask) it looks like when you press a button they follow the path, but they still stay where I last put them...?

Does the token end up at the ending spot after running the route? I've found it seems to look different on the other-players end, versus the controlling-players view, during the time it's running. I believe it may leave a ghost-image of your token at the route's starting point. Try it with one of your Players in the game table and see how it performs. Ask what it looks like on their view. Usually when I do it in-game the other players say "Whoa!" Let's keep this thread open and see if others have an answer, too.
Was trying to get Aircraft to do "fly by's" for tomorrow's campaign, even if I had to reset, I don't use Grid much(I like to control size of units)
