Let's start with suggestions for the new campaign name. Once we've got some, we can declare the voting started.
The Spinward Marches Campaign The Ares Adventures Diary of a Broadsword The Adventures of a Mercenary Cruiser
It might be better to consider what type of campaign we are going for before picking a name. That said... Tales of a Maverick Broadsword Broadsword of a Valiant Emblem Broadsword Reblazoned Broadsword Reforged
Artemis Ascending The Fifth Frontier War Artemis Travellers Ship of Fools Beyond Eccliptic Spinward Horizon Today's Encounters Command Review The Smell of FGMP Jumpspace Threaders Ball of Wax Broadsword Binge Mongoose Mayhem Artemis & Ancients

I kind of like the name we have.  In terms of a new direction for the campaign, I've been enjoying the things we've been doing. I'm not sure how much of a divergence the balance of combat/economics/intrigue, etc. is from what the game was before I joined. I've always looked Traveller through the eyes a player of the classic traveller-style campaign- that is, a bit of everything, based on need, circumstance, chance and whim.
Since I [had to] leave the space combat in mid-air as it were last time, all this talk about new name and direction for the campaign makes me very curious as to what in the *** and +++ happened to You guys afterwards. Alas, I'm off to Spain and will be unable to participate during Your next sheduled session.
Pakkrat, the one currently acting as the GM, will be stepping down; I believe Lloyd will be GMing next; this has been in the pipeline for a while, so everyone's been ready for it. There's also an association of "Traveller Spinward" with a failed Kickstarter; they were essentially trying to do the "D&D Basic" version of Traveller; it didn't go well; so it's bad advertising to call our game that. As far as the ship battle went, we took some lumps, but nothing that couldn't be brought back to working order after a prolonged stay. We also gained Fang's undamaged Pirate Ship, which we never really decided what to do with. I still say that we need a ship for Close-Air-Support purposes, for which the Ares isn't really suitable.
I understand. Thank You for clarifying, Sir.
Time to vote.
We may need a few rounds of voting... May I propose we each pick 5, dump the losers, and vote from there?
Okay.  I'll submit the title Artemis Travellers, because it lets the potential gamer know that we are playing Traveller and that Artemis is a descriptor to our particluar game.  This name lets the potential player know that this is campaign is not locked into a certain theme of Traveller, Mercenary, Merchant, Socio-Political or Rogue game.  The rest of my submitted names can take a back seat as they were funny stand-ins.

The Spinward Marches Campaign The Ares Adventures Ares Incorporated Ares Outbound Traveller Outbound Or substitute Artemis for Ares, if we want to avoid stressing the war-side of things.
Erm... I thought we were voting, not coming up with more names... ? Not complaining, because some of those are certainly good, but we're just making it harder on whittling the list down... ^_^;
My pick of 5: Tales of a Maverick Broadsword Broadsword of a Valiant Emblem Broadsword Reblazoned The Ares Adventures Ares Outbound
Diary of a Broadsword The Adventures of a Mercenary Cruiser Artemis Travellers
I think just putting "Traveller:" in front of the name is a good way to make sure we're kind of communicating the flavor campaign we're playing. So... Traveller: the Ares Adventures Traveller: Ares Outbound Traveller: The Spinward Marches Campaign Traveller: Outbound Traveller: The Adventures of a Mercenary Cruiser
I like Traveller: the Ares Adventures  submitted by Wolfen.  It gets my vote.  It has the word Traveller and speaks of adventure.
Pakkrat, we already agreed that whatever title we picked would start out with "Traveller: ". It's a nice enough name though, I suppose.
